Anyone using Ness Honkers with both filters, or a combo of Ness Honkers + Lloyds upgrades? If you go with the Ness Honkers and filters, do you have to buy the big shot, or is there a remap from Victory?

Tucson, AZ
I had the Ness big honkers, both filters and big shot installed last August by Big John Hogan who is one of Arlen's mechanics in Dublin CA. Day & Night difference to say the least. My friend Ken Stevens (SDVIC) has a S1L1 on his 08 Vision and rode mine last week and couldn't believe the difference either. I haven't had it dyno'd so I don't know what true number difference there is from stock but as far as throttle response while in the saddle it so far is the best money I've spent!

Ken and I are eagerly awaiting for the date confirmation for the AZ cam install by Kevinx or a So Cal date if we can talk Kevinx into coming out here. I definitely want to install those Lloydz cams to complete the performance package without bumping up the displacement

(Tim S, if you by chance read this thread my understanding is that between you and you're friends and Ken & I we have 5 peole willing to do the cam install by Kevinx. Let's try and make something happen in So Cal whenever you get back from your Memorial day event)

I have the Lloyd's upgrade with the Big Honkers.
She sounds great and runs amazingly well.
Had my guy install in Maine and then Lloyd did the dyno and tune in Florida, came up with 111HP/111TQ.
Hopefully by end of week will post a youtube link comparing sounds of 4 bikes, stock, stock with honkers, upgrade with S1/L2 and mine with upgrade and honkers.

Had the Victory Tour Truck in town at Jones Power Sports in Columbia,Missouri. They had a dyno contest so I entered mine. I have Cycle Dragon pipes gutted out and Lloyds intake and fuel controller. I got 84 hp and 101 ft lbs tork. Took third. An Arlin Ness Vision took first and a 107 cu in Big Dog took 2nd. They both had 104 and change on tork dont remember the hp.

At bike week, I came up with 111HP/111TQ.
Some guys with 09's had the honkers, VFCIII and Lloyds intake plate without the cams and where coming up with 89HP and 109TQ.
I was told that in Florida bikes run low due to the air, not a clue about that, but the boys that know(Lloyd and KexinX) said so.

I have the BigHonkers, VFC3, Intake Plate and K&N high flow air filter (also stock recall map).  See my signature for my dyno numbers.  Not as high as others with similar setup, but it is a 50-state bike.  The dyno tune was also done by an independent, so the numbers probably reflect real-world numbers.

HTH,

Tim

Yes, the VFC is from Lloyd along with his intake plate and cams.
It is amazing the difference from stock.
Waiting on something else from him. Should of been in last week.
Going to HK Powersports in Hooksett, NH for their openhouse on May 23rd. Lloyd will be there with his rig.
Will post new dyno numbers after that event.

While in Florida using 93 octane I was getting 44MPG.
Here in Maine using 91 octane I get 40-41 MPG.
Never worried much about MPG, but the only difference I can think of is the octane.
Without the trunk and without the wife I get as low as 30 MPG while beating up on my Harley buddies in Maine.

I see the intake plate and VFC from Lloyds. On the ness website, they show two filters and the Big shot and cheap shot. I'm trying to figure out the difference between the two ness filters and Lloyd's intake plate mod. Do they do the same thing? Can a dealer do the fuel tuning or do you have to go somewhere special? Can the Victory touring rig to the tuning?

I was told that with Lloyd's intake plate and the Victory Performance Filter, the Ness Filters would not be needed.
I do not believe the rig can do anyting for you, but if your mechanic does the work, Lloyd can tell him what he should use for settings.
