Philly Pa. | Hello all I seem to be having an issue with my tranny locking up while down shifting I have a 2011 victory vision 8 ball. sometimes I have to start out in third or second gear. and it seems to be shifting really loud. any ifo on this? |

| when was the last time you lubed your him balls on the end of your shifting rod.
Is the shifting rod hiem ends worn out |

| Take your bike to the shop and have them check the cable bracket if it's bent. My bike was acting like the clutch was heading south but Kyle worked his magic on the bracket and all is good. |

Philly Pa. | I haven't lube the hien balls didn't know I had too, also the shifting linkage seems to be real lose, this seems to happen more when the bike is hot. |

Philly Pa. | I have about 17,000 on it and I just changed the oil I used amsol 20/ 50 this time trying something different to see if it helps. |

| stop with the BS on how many wiles on the oil. Oil has nothing to do with bike shifting good or bad. Oil does not cause bad shifting lazy foot does |

I get "notchy" shifting on my Rocket 3 when it approaches end of life with oil. This is a symptom of oil losing it's lubricating characteristics. However in this particular case; I cannot offer the same conclusion. |

Pittsburgh, PA | willtill just about everyone on here gets notchy shifting when its time for a oil change.. i guess some don't know about it.. LOL next thing it will be, the type of boots you wear., OR saying you need to go to a chiropractor for weak shifting due to Sciatic nerve issues....
my kawasaki was the same way. when it was "time for a oil change" man.... the shifting got stiff.. is that the case in this situation? Who knows... i can say the incorrect weight of oil was used.. (at least according to my owners manual) but to say. oil Cant have Anything to do with it is about as mindless as saying, bad gas has Nothing to do with a poor running engine... i cant remember the answer to this one... what is the life blood of our Motorcycles again ??

Philly Pa. | well one thing I do not have is a lazy foot been riding since I could walk never had this problem down shifting before, it has been happening now for about a year and a half. Bike shifted fine for the first couple years. JUST LOOKING FOR SOME HELP THATS ALL. |

| <p><strong>Now that YOU told me off</strong>. Have you checked the shifter heims for being worn out. Are they in need of lubing. Is there a lot of side to side play in the shifter arm. You might need bushing and you can buy them from witchdoctor. If there good then your going to have to pull the primary and look inside</p>
