On my 2010 VV, if I just have the Fluted Victory Tips installed, will that make my exhaust system sound different?

No, it is just for looks. It doesn't change the actual muffler/baffle section.  I just did it, check out pics on this thread:  http://www.vision-riders.com/bb/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=15322&posts=9&mid=156462&highlight=gatling+tips&highlightmode=1&action=search#M156462

I believe Johnny likes the above product for cleaning the soot out of the Gatlin tips.

oh... ok.... i was confused because the guy was asking about if the tip would change the sound of the exhaust. (him not owning them yet).. then i see about a dollar store degreaser and spraying on a rag and what not.. so i read and RE-read the posts to see what i was missing???... or then nothing mayb someones post got deleted.. I have those tips and i have no issues with them needing cleaned or what not.. (owned them for 6 years now.)

Just looking for an inexpensive way to make my VV sound a little deeper, without having to pay $1000 for exhaust/tips/tuning/installation, any ideas?

Cheapest solution I've seen is to drill holes around the outlet tips. There's a thread with pics somewhere on this site. Don't have to take off the pipes...more holes...deeper sound. If you don't like it, weld them up.

A piece of steel pipe sized to just slide into the exhaust. Cut it on a steep angle on one end. You just made a chisel punch. Stick the sharp end in the muffler and hit the flat end with a BFH. You will punch through and lay down the front baffle plate and end up with a straight through channel.

The baffles are a reverse flow design. Punching through the front baffle lets a lot of the exhaust go straight through.
