I know I'm gonna catch buckets of grief for even posting this but here goes. I read in the MCN on line that Honda has a new V4 concept cruiser, the picture is blurred on purpose of course, looks kinda like a Rune in the front end. That being said, Honda has made some excellent V4 motorcycles in the past, the most fun bike I ever owned ( this coming from someone who has owned 8 Harleys ) was a V65 Magna. I hope this new bike has a similar but larger engine. A modern Cruiser with a V115 now THAT would be a MONSTER !!!!

I owned 2 Hondas in the late 60's and early 70's.
Great motorcycles.
Oil, tires, and chains was all they needed to carry me all over this country.
I like some Harleys too.
Each motorcycle company pushes the others, so all is good.

I will never own ANOTHER bike that is 3 or more cyl.
No soul. Nothing like the feel and soul of a big v-twin.
When I was shopping for a bike I test road the vision, wing
Ultra classic, and LT. I narrowed it down to the wing and
The vision. Took them both out again, the vision became the
Clear choice when I realized, to me, that a wing was a coverts less
Civic. It had no soul, no feel, no character of the visions
V-twin

When I was 16 I worked for a Guy who sold Cam 2 out of his Sunoco station he was a muscle car nut HD owner. Well he bought a Gold Wing and he took it apart . I was floored this thing was brand new. He put it back together and said "I'm keeping it " It was Silver with black rubber accents.

That bike was impressive power air control front and rear ,stereo, plug ins for heated clothing that was about 30 years ago

I do agree with jeffmack, most 4 cylinders don't seem to have any soul, they just seem to run like a refrigerator in the kitchen doing the job silently and with no vibration, my ZX-11 was like that. I like big twins best too, thats why I have My Vision, kept my RoadGlide and once in a while take my XRTT lookalike 116 HP Sportster for a ride. I just remember back and that old V65 I had was really fun, wheelies all day and hauled ass everywhere, of course I was 26 back then. It's just that now I can afford a few motorcycles and if the new Honda V4 is bad enough I might consider one, at least take a test drive and smoke the tires......... Been looking at that new Norton 961 too, if the price would come down just a little................

It seems there may be one 4 cylinder bike with what appears to be soul. If you listen to the sound track of the Motus V4 on the dyno it sounds like a NASCAR engine............ Hopefully they will be built, the styling is a little controversial, Hey but so is the Vision's to alot of people ( us owners not included ) You know how these start up or re start motorcycle companies go, some make it, most don't...............

I use to not care for V-Twins, in fact, Honda's departure from multi cylinder cruiser was part of the reason why I left the brand to begin with. Of course now that Honda bikes are no longer assembled in the US, I would never buy one, but when they dropped the Magna, it was only a matter of time before I left the brand.
