Has anyone who is using this unit had any electrical problems with it? Blown fuses, relays, modules, etc.?

According to Kuryakyn we are NOT to use this unit with the Vision due to the electronics.

Just curious before I purchase one for my '08 Vision.

KevinX any ideas or input please?

Thanks everyone for your suggestions in advance!

I put one in last year. I had no problems with it until 3 weeks ago when it melted down. I have it stored under the trunk with the cb and a mouse got in it last winter. I put a new cable in so I could mount my ipod in the trunk and was pushing wires around. When I replaced it I found the insulation chewed off one of the wires. I left 2 days later on a trip and put 4,800 miles on in the last 2 weeks and no problems.

Please use the information for the wiring in the unit from the Tech Reference section of the forum. The reason I mention this is that it could be an issue if you try to install it to control all of the brake lights. I use it to turn the trunk lights into brake and turn lights.

I had one burn out as well - but it occurred while I was tracking down a problem with the lights it was controlling and I came across a wire that had shorted due to being pinched under the seat. As an extra measure of safety, when I replaced it I wired it off of the isolator for the trailer lights.

I've been running it for about 2 1/2 years.
Had 1 wire break about six months ago...
replaced this and have had no more issues with it.

Added 2, 30 LED strings, mounted to the trunk lid,
and hooked them up to the trunk lights, works great and is
VERY noticable at night, which was the intent!
