That grinding noise you here is nothing but love!

I guess that at Arlen's Vegas store curb climbing, burning out and tipover draging are the order of the day. It really shows the potential of the Vision in extreme conditions.

And here is Carlos from Arlen's Vegas store for a short grind and drop.

I hope someone wasn't dupped into buying that bike after that treatment. Hell, you can pull stumps with a Dodge pick-up. It doesn't mean it's good for it.

I'm sure that was one of his rentals, and it's probably seen worse than that. Still, not bad for a Kingpin rider! ;-)

If I lived in Vegas and wanted a good discount on a Vision, I would have no problems buying that one as long as Arlen's crew was going to stand behind the warranty.

For that matter, if you replace the front and rear tipovers what other damage would it have? That only comes out to about $600 in parts.

I know some guys that have dropped thier touring bikes and had allot more money in repairs.

As for the curb, I have hit some pot holes that were almost that big.

Ride Safe and never lend your Vision to Bill Biler for a demo!

What a great demonstration of a capable motorcycle coupled with a capable rider!

It's always a good idea to know what the limits and capabilities are of machine and rider.

I think the obvious statement here should be that everyone riding a Vision SHOULD be able to ride it in that same manner. If you can't I would highly recommend buying or borrowing a copy of "Ride like a Pro" by Jerry Palladino and start practicing. It LOOKS much harder than it actually is and learning to ride at the bikes lean/turn limits will make you a MUCH safer and competent rider. YOU can ride your Vision like that in just a few hours of practice, if you know the tips.
I actually witnessed a rider on a Kawi 1600 turn to the steering stops to avoid a collision a couple months back. You can bet he's practiced these manuevers.

I often ride to my personal limits and I have not scraped a peg floor board or a tip over yet so I gues my best is not that good but I still like the ride. Archie

Teach,

I am a big fan of the "Ride Like A Pro V" video. Next year I plan to go to Houston to take the course.

RT, Worth the money for the few hours of small group skills training. They offer the course all over the US so if you can't get into that one look around, but if you have the video and some time you can get a good head start so long as you can get past the subconscious fear and trust yourself.
