I have had cruise control problems for over a year. There would be nothing consistent with the problems, would work, quit working when working, speed up and quit, no red light on control, you name it and it did it. Interesting that this did not start until a year after it worked perfectly.

Finally my dealer said Victory had alerted them that brake light back off relay modulators were the cause. This relay was installed when I purchased the bike. They disconnected mine and so far, no problems. This was the second bike in my dealers shop that had this problem.

Just a heads up for anyone having this problem.

Curious to know if it was just the front brake relay. I had the problem
as well, and thanks to the folks on this board, I was able to just order
the little black box behind the front brake. I don't have a local dealership.

Hopefully I am answering this correctly.

This was an aftermarket brake light modulator that makes the brake lights flash 4 times before going solid.

I found my original post. There is a picture of the little black switch too.

I had the same problem with a Comagination brake light modulator on my 08 Vision. I ended up wiring it up to the middle set of tail lights - on the "other" side of the factory diode......that way the bike cant tell what its doing. Been working fine for 50K miles that way.

my brake lights work fine using front or rear
i checked the 2 terminals on right side by the console near the frame and everything looks good
