I'm in! Coming from Indianapolis...Will probably ride down the Skyline Drive and BRP on Monday on our way home. Don't have my hotel booked yet. You'll be way south of the city - Google Maps says 2 hours south! :-O

I'll be coming in from the north side - so probably looking for somewhere in the Frederick to Bethesda area.

I typically run into Arlington as my Pappy is buried in Section 59 and I have the pass that lets me in without stopping so I plan around that. A lot of the time I skip the poser convention at the Pentagon. Way too much traffic and folks I'm not used to riding with or testosterone overloads. It's fairly tranquil in Arlington.

Arlington is pretty tranquil. I always wondered what let certain folks be able to ride in. Thank you for your sacrifice.

We plan to arrive late Saturday evening but will be going to the Pentagon Sunday morning for the big ride. I very much enjoy the patriotism, conversation, checking out all the bikes. Different strokes for different folks. Monday morning we are going to get up and head down Skyline Drive. Maybe our paths will cross but if not - have a great safe weekend.

My email is kyboy1013@yahoo.com and it goes to this phone. We should exchange numbers. I would appreciate at least a chance to ride Sunday with y'all if we can make it work out.

Got it man. Have you selected a town to stay in yet ? My lodging plans aren't carved in stone yet. An old friend in Johnstown, Pa wants to get together so now North looks better.

I'm up in the air about going, but if I do go, it'll have to be toward the mid part of the day. I plan to be the last guy to roll through to avoid being in among a lot of stop and go.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a "flight" of Visions roll in ? Like an aerie of spacecraft descending.

That would be great! Just be sure to grab a photo of it! That would make a great front page pic for this site.
Have a safe ride to those going.

I'm hoping to settle on a hotel this week. Will more than likely be on the northern side of DC. And looking for $100 or less.

Presently I'm nursing a huge pride wound and tearing the bike down to replace a $300 frame piece. Doh! I'll have her back together ASAP though and it won't deter this trip.

I prefer to stay out away from DC, like Culpeper or Front Royal.

But FIRST, I have to get my Vision repaired and checked out at the dealer. I got hit by a postal service truck this past Sunday in the left rear side. I left Kentucky that morning at 8, and at 1PM, and within 5 miles of my destination I get t boned but I never lost control off the bike or laid it down. I'll still be riding to Rolling Thunder though.
