I have considered this as well. I have even seen ones with built in driver units for around $69ea.
My Concerns;
1. Is there enough room behind the headlamp for the cooling fan?
2. Would being more open to the weather on a MC cause premature failure?
3. How much radio interference will it cause? My HID Cyclops causes some, but I can turn it off when needed. This will be double, and on all the time.

I will definitely keep this in mind when it's time to buy new bulbs.

I noticed where it says stuff like this http://www.headwinds.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=he... personally i see no advantage of saying me wattage. 1) im not paying for it.. lol 2) what i dont use gets sent to ground anyways... and from what i understand still creating heat ? Are they $100 each? What is the price of converting them to just HID ? and does the HID needs to be modded

Is the cooling fan only needed because they are mounting these in a closed headlight bucket?
Keep us updated, this might be a great option vs the HID.

The main advantages I see with these would be durability and longevity. H4s have neither. HIDs have longevity, not sure on durability.
The problem is LEDs haven't the track record yet for this type of use to show either. I currently have the Clearwater driving lights and have had no problems, so I'm open to the idea.
The Victory shouldn't have a problem with the lower wattage. The Vision will run on one bulb without ever letting you know.

Wouldn't durability be a given if they have longevity?

I hope so cause I'm going to install the DDMTuning 5000K HID system as soon as I quit riding long enough to take apart the front end. Been sitting in a box for awhile now

I just put these on my 2012 Vision, LED Headlight Conversion Kit - All Bulb Sizes - 50W 3600LM Cree LED - Replaces Halogen & HID Bulbs - H4 (HB2) (9003) Dual-beam LED http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HFK2RAE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o...
I believe these are the same as the headwinds? I bought 2 for $99. They fit perfectly. I ride alot and was tired of replacing the Sylvania Ultra bulbs yearly. Two things I noticed are no heat on the front of the bike from the bulbs, and the are not quiet as bright as the Ultra. These bulbs are warranty for 5 years.

Longevity vs. Durability.

Most durable H4 bulbs use thicker glass and filiments so that the vibrations will not cause breakage, but the added thickness also does not allow for quick heat dissipation and the bulbs tend to not last as long as a standard bulb when used in a vibration free environment.
A standard bulb may last longer in a nice comfy touring bike, but fail first time out in a snowmobile.

I replace both my H-4 in 09 with the fancy white lights. They died one year to the date. Went to auto parts store and asked for long lasting H-4's. There still working just fine and i can see at night. I can have the front end a part in a hour now after I found the tricks.
