Has anyone put a 16 inch rim on the front of a Vision?  Do the older touring rims interchange?

What about your abs? If you put a different size wheel on it the abs wont know your have a different wheel and therefor think one of your wheels is slipping or throw a abs error code. Btw whats the advantage of a smaller front wheel?

A smaller diameter tire will turn faster, causing it to wear out faster, run hotter, might cause unwelcomed handling issues and reduced braking efficency. The Winchells Donuts used on small boat trailers and mini trailers turn @ about 1800 RPM, smaller the diameter, faster it has to turn just to keep up why do you suppose 18 wheelers run 11/22.5's or bigger? Better reliability, better mileage, and a cooler running, longer lasting tire.
You may look bad assed and 'punk' with that teeny tire, but then so do the guys who run 24's on their cars (where usually the wheels and tires are worth more than the car they are attached to by a factor of about 3) and can't figure out why the braking is suddenly so bad (rotational mass) your back tire will always be trying to outrun your smaller front one, and you just might find yourself between a rock and a hard place, I'd look @ going the other way and install a bigger front tire (I've always liked the looks of a laced 21 on the front of a H-D)

I ran a Metzeler 150X80X16 on the front of my Roadstar and loved it. It is about 1/8th inch taller than the stock 130 X70X18 and 1 inch wider. So I don't think it would bother ABS, which I'm not sure I even have. It would be a nice wide solid tire for cruzing. It is in no way a donut! The earlier tour models came with 16's and if they are interchangeable, it would be worth a try when it's time for new tires.

the chances of finding a wheel that not only fit the front end but to find the rotors would be almost impossible. everything would have to line right up. then there is the looks. the chances the wheel would match how the bike looks is awhole other story. If looks arent important then No worries.

25.45 is the size of the 150x80-16

25.17 is the stock size of the vision front tire. very close... =)

I had heard, somewhere, that the earlier Victory Tour 16 inch rims were the same, mounting wise, as later rims. If that's so, then it would be a straight swap. I like another inch of traction I'd rather ask, than buy and measure. - - - and as said, "Beauty is just a light switch away".

I sure hope I don't have to buy a 16 inch rim from a 2000/2003 V92 Victory tour just to find out! Someone out there has to know the interchangeablity of Victory front rims. Pretty please.

Does anyone make that size for the front? I have a new 150/80X16 Metzeler hoping to use it.

Hip boots - yah, sometimes I need 'em to wade thru my own BS !

I have said this before (often): You guys 'n gals - customize the HELL out of your VV's. That way, when I'm parked next to you (as if) no one will know which bike is 'custom' and which is 'stock'. If they both look alike - then to the 'uninitiated' they are both 'stock'. So, get 'r done!

12" front - WOW !

With 24" Ape Hangers! Double WOW !

keep posting on how this turns out. Are you planning on moding the front fender to go with the smaller diameter?

No change in overall diameter, just an inch wider. I think it will fill the front fender very nicely (if it fits!).
