| I am getting helmet pressure to the rear of the helmet when I have the shield up for frontal protection..Has anyone else had this? Is there anything I can do about it. It is more of a annoyance than anything. I love the bike it is Ice Blue tour and I just can not say enough good things about it...thnks Dwight |

san antonio, tx | I think the only thing you can do is make fine adjustments to your windshield height and uppers angles. This changes the point where the air that's been separated comes back together. I've noticed that as little as a 1/4" either way makes a difference.
It is annoying, and everytime I notice it, I think about all the people who claim to be riding in a blissful pocket of still air. It always feels to me that I'm riding just on the edge of the eye of a hurricane.
When I'm riding two up, It seems that the clean air pocket is extended, probably because the passenger prevents the separated air from joining back together.
A taller windshield might help, but I don't really like looking through the screen.

| I just glad I am not the only one that has experienced this issue, your description is a good one, I was wondering if there is a different shield that would change the pocket..kinda like Klockworks does with there shields.. |

There are a number of benefits of installing this device.
1) it has the effect of increasing the size of the dead air envelope that the rider/passenger sit in.
2) it all but eliminates the back pressure/buffeting on your helmet when riding solo.
3) it allows a rider to protect the passenger from the elements or from buffeting without forcing the rider to look through (rather than over) the windshield.
4) it allows the solo rider to run with the shield in a lower position thereby decreasing the angle of the shield and improving the aerodynamics/fuel efficiency.
5) it is less expensive than experimenting with taller/shorter shields to try and find an optimal combination.
There are a few minor annoyances; the lip does cause the shield to move back and forth perceptibly when riding near high profile vehicles and it makes cleaning more difficult.
I can live with both of these issues.

Mt. Vernon, WASH. | That's why the Indy drivers and F1 guys wear those swirled top and rear spoiler style helmets they eliminate buffeting and push. Experiment with bits of cardboard and tape and see if you can find something you can reproduce in fibreglass to epoxy to your helmet, it might be something as simple as a 1/4 inch tall strip side to side across the top like a Gurney lip used on spoilers on all sorts of race cars. |

I dont find that it has any effect on my ability to see the road ahead, because I can lower the shield so that I am always, regardless of conditions, looking over the top of it and I still get all the protection I need.
I riding solo I run the shield in full down to 1" up most of the time depending on speed. The lip directs the flow of wind and weather over my head.
Occasionally, just for the fun of it, the universe sends a grape sized insect on a suicide mission through the redirected air flow to smack me square in the kisser as a cosmic reminder that, despite all the comfort and amenities the Vision provides , that I am indeed riding a motorcycle.

I notice the pressure only when I have my full-face helmet on. I do not notice it with a halfy or no helmet.
I completely forgot about the pressure on the back of the helmet until I read this post. I noticed it when I first got my Vision, but apparently I got used to it. |

| I use a half helmet and have not tried a full face..I suspect that most people just get used to it..I was just thinking if there is a way to get rid of it I would. |

Northeast Ohio | The amount of wind I get with my CeeBailey 22" windshield is perfect for me and my 3/4 helmet. My wife, on the other hand, is the one that comments on the wind she feels back there. I want to see if there is anything I can do to divert a little off of her (if I can). |
