My wife has the same issue with the seat. That roll in the back scoots her forward.

Thanks for the offer but.... Naw, I need the tour pack. Even if I got rid of it, I'd still have the same problem with that lip on the back of the seat.

I'm just going to modify it. Since I'm going to have to cut the upholstery up to do what I want, I might just recover it in leather if I can find a decent price on some.

After studying the seat and pan, it's not as simple as just slicing off the lip. The pan rises up to meet it as well. I'm going to have to cut the back of the pan and fabricate some sort of extension.

Then I noticed that there are some little wings that stick up from the body panel that the seat pan rides up and over. My first instinct was to just cut them down, but I'm not going to, in case I or the next owner decide to go back to a stock seat. I'll figure something out.

I'll photograph and document the project. Probably start this weekend.

Well RT, once I'm finished with the modifications, you and her will have to check it out.

Keep San Antonio Lame!

If I had the shirt I would wear it proudly. Born here and staying here.....unless the wife says she want to move.

Three years ago I was driving a '79 F-350 Crew Cab 4x4 with a 4" lift and 35" tires (big azz truck) I had bought in Laredo through S. A. I was in the far right lane of I-35 on the north side when the left front tire decided to depart from this world. The truck vered left across all four lanes of traffic and I manged to get it under control just before I smashed into a cement wall. I looked in the mirrors and saw cars scattered all across I-35 and clouds of tire smoke everywhere. How I didn't run over a few I'll never know... Yeah, that was wild. I thought S.A. looked like a decent place, for a big city. I'm red neck country boy and tend to stay away from cities. I never understoood why anyone would want to live like that but at the same time I'm glad they do because I like my country side with low population.

That's my one and only story or knowledge of S.A.

BTW, if you think S.A. is bad come on up to Detroit or Flint. SH!T HOLES! Hmmm, wonder why???
