Trell,

Do not worry about the double posts....the just happen sometimes. I am not a lawyer but....I have read that if you can prove that all of the service requirements were met....you can do it all.

all my bikes i did my own first service and the dealer(s) even said it was NO big deal. I just purchased a 2011 vision 15 days ago and they offer a FREE 1st service. but im still going to do it myself. BECAUSE you have to drop the bike off, and for me thats a complete hassle... so as soon as i get the mileage i need i will do it myself and save the receipts. Just like i did on my 08 vision.

Keep a maintenance log and receipts for your oil and filters.

Do it yourself... then you will know what has been done and what has been said was done ,but not necessarily done. The only requirement down the road if you were to have a major warranty issue that you couldn't fix yourself is that you keep a contemporary log book of work done... it is always nice to have receipts but even that is not required by law...
