Thought of a little something for the Darkside naysayers to think about. I think its safe to say that there are at least 100 Darkside Vision riders and I think its also safe to say that the overall average miles ridden so far by these Darksiders has to be well over 500 miles each. So a ballpark average of about 50,000 miles (or more) And all of these miles have been on a wide mixture of road types and other conditions along with tons of different riding styles.

And not a single report of a loss of any traction in corners or straightaways or anything.

Not a single blowout.

Nothing....nada....zilch.

Now.....does going Darkside have pros and cons???? Of course it does, but doesn't almost everything in life????

Going Darkside is a purely personal decision as to if its the RIGHT thing for YOU !! Do the research, make the decision.

If you decide to not go to the Darkside and you also decide to stand there and give the "ITS UNSAFE" flag....well it appears that flag has been put to rest.

Now I'll admit that the whole unsafe uproar has quieted down recently and most of the naysayers have given up the arguement. But not all have....yet.

I know I'm included in the naysayer clan, but in actuallity 100 riders on a forum doesn't confirm the safety issue, it just says nothing that we know has happened. I'm personally not against the darkside and have seriously considered going there numereous times. My post are generally meant to incite the justification arguements, but sadly I've not been convinced there is anything over the top in going there except to save time and money.

Now, with that said, if I ever get the opportunity as others have had to roll to Alaska, I'll be the first to go darkside for the trip as I hear some of the roads would be gruelling on a MT, but still doable. There I would hope to save time and money if the CT would be more durable in the outback where "handling" wouldn't be such a issue.

Another thing is that for the most part if I'm convinced of something, there is no need to convince others as many darksiders try to do. Just grin and say, "you don't know what you're missing."
