since my bike flew off the bike lift last week UGH!!!! I mentioned to my dealer that the am/fm reception was nothing to write home about and since it was all tore to hell and back I asked about any updates for better antennas.

Is there any thing better?. The stock antenna is not much of any thing and I don't have any issues going to radio shack or a cycle radio shop and buying a nice stick antenna and running the wires through the bike to the radio.

Any thing better you guys have used or am I just stuck with what I have

Here is a possible thought: One of the major theories is that the radio reception sucks because it is hidden under the aluminum panel on the front of the bike....well, the 2011's no longer have an aluminum panel, but rather a plastic panel. This may help with reception.....BUT, a word of caution: I was in my dealer the other day and the "fit" of the new panel was not that great.

At least it's a thought.

I have no real idear what that little squiggle of wire is for that is taped to the back of the front V panel but the antenna it seems is a wire run inside a plactic tube that fits behind the rt. side aluminum panel. Mine hangs a little below the bike and I always thought it was a drain of some sorts. Not the best location for an antenna.
