Sorry to read your account of the accident involving you and your spouse. I will continue to pray for her full recovery both physically and psycologically. If she never rides again just support her decision and move on, heck my spouse only sat on my VV twice and has essentially told me anything but a cage is out of the question. As for you, ride assuming that that cage driver will do the exact thing you don't want him/her to do. And yes many of them are driving with their knees.

So sorry to hear about your accident Eric. I'm glad to hear your wife is on the mend and hope she has a speedy recovery. I went down on 2/2/11 when a woman with a suspended license made a left turn in front of me--braked, swerved, went down and off the bike, while bike slid on right side, and then bounced off a sign island onto left side resting at the curb. I was doing well enough to get up and give chase to the SUV full of people that was still slowly moving on and finally stopped. I was just a bit banged up. Bike was totaled due to all the body and sub-frame damage, but it was good enough to ride home and into the dealer for the last time. My insurance co. got stuck with the bill. The thing I was most thankful for is that my wife was not on the bike at the time.
My best to you and your wife brother.

Just read this Eric. I am so sorry to hear this. I pray for both of you to get feeling great quickly. I know people who drive 18 wheelers for a living and they have gotten in wrecks and people still say "I just didn't see you". If they can't see a fully loaded 18 wheeler they aren't going to see anything.

Hi Vision or?s,

I want to say ?Thank You? To Every One of you who gave us your best wishes and prayers!!! My wife and I are recovering very well! I for one started back to work and will start physical therapy on my left shoulder for RTC treatment. My wife just started walking, but with great deal of pain and still uses walker when she is up on her feet for a great deal of time. She has VNA hospice home care 3-4 times a week with a nurse and OPT.
I?m hoping to bounce right back on the bike as soon as is fixed! As for the wife I will let her decide when she would want to ride back on the bike. The bike will probably have a price tag of ~$7K to fix the frame is good the forks are good mainly cosmetics. It?s amazing the bike handle the accident much better than my wife & I.

We are in very good sprits, we?ve had tons of friends and family gives us great support!!!
Bless them!!! Didn?t cook for over a week and had so much food I think I gained weight!!!

I will keep you all posted the progression of my wife, myself and my bike. Also anxious to browse the site and give my inputs and questions in site!

Have a Blessed Day!
