Has anyone put a Russell Day-Long saddle on a Vision?
If. so, I would appreciate knowing how you like it and any comments you might want to add about it. Thanks.

I have one on my BMW. I also have a Rick Mayer on my Kingpin. The Russell is significantly better than the Rick Mayer. You won't be disappointed with a Russell.

I have had my Day-Long seats for 9,000 miles.  They still look brand new and get more comfortable all the time. Last October I took a 1,000 mile round trip to Oxford MS. Because my wife wasn't riding with me, I just stopped to fill up every 200 miles or so. I never owned a bike I could ride three hours at a stretch before. I can on my vision with the Russell Day-Long seats. Highly recommended.

Thanks much. I just ordered one, driver's seat only since I only use the passenger seat for luggage. I am especially grateful that you mentioned that you had a Utopia backrest installed. I ordered the Russell with their driver's backrest, and was going to remove my Utopia ( The first, Bob used my seat to protype it...) before sending it in, not that the Utopia isn't fine, but I did nor anticipate Russell's being able to re-use and recover it. I have to call Russell anyway to tell them which quilting pattern I want, and I was going to ask what to do with the Utopia rest, so now for sure I'll let them know I have it and arrange for them to recover it and keep it on the seat. I have spoken with the woman there last week, and my impression was that they are extremely accomodating and easy to work with.

I had a day-long seat on a BMW I use to own. First seat I could sit in for 600 miles. Spent 2 weeks travelling from panhandle of Florida to Maine and back. No discomfort at the end of the day or the trip. The vision is the first stock seat that had as much comfort also.

I've been wondering about those seats as well. I may just have to give them a try. Any input on the rear seat and trunk backrest comfort. My SO has final say over these types of decisions, and I know she is going to need to make sure it actually IS more comfortable that the stock seat.

My build date is June 20th, so I should get it back in two or three weeks after that, at least I hope so as want it before the National Meet. I will try to post some photos, though the fellow from east Texas has some good ones in his link.
I called Russell and confirmed that they can retain and recover the Utopia backrest, so instead of paying $240 for a whole new backrest it will cost only $90 to recover the present one. Since I had the money budgeted already, I upgraded from vinyl to leather as the difference with the change is not very much.
