I'm listening to the radio on the way to work and hear a Harley commercial. No, I didn't turn it off, but it was pressing for folks to fulfill their dreams and get a Harley. The new softtail something something now comes with fully intergrated ABS with no front brake lever, it just uses the foot brake, just like a car. Hmmmmm, what will they think of next, automatic transmissions????

So, when you come to a stop on a hill you can only put one foot down. This is going to be interesting when a gust of wind or your wife shifts on the back and you automatically drop that foot. This is going to be interesting....

GEE, maybe they can go back and copy the old (and I mean OLD) Studebaker 'hill holder' checkball that SUBARU went to a few years ago, where a check ball covers the fluid port in the master cylinder and keeps fluid pressure on the brake line until the vehicle moves forward. "LOOK! the Sun, see anything new?"

I heard it was a bowling pin that went behind the wheel, not a 2 x 4.

good point, geared toward a beginner only to make it more challenging. Perhaps there is a lock of some sort so you could put both feet down on a hill.

I'm still going, huh? I heard it in a commercial for the local HD dealer. It was a conversational, like hey go check out this... you mean... yeah, that sounds really cool, I'm going rush on down. When they talked about the brakes, they said "just like a car", the pedal activates the ABS for both front and rear breaks with NO brake lever for the front. Hmmmm. my bike is not "just like a car" nor will it ever be...

So what happens when you are leaned over in a corner and the abs malfunctions causing the front brake to grab way more than the back?
