Hi guys. I've been a follower of this sight for over a year now and have never posted before. I have a small machine shop that I play in when I'm not on the road with my regular job and I have designed and built a set of hi-way pegs for my '08 vision and I would like to get some feedback from you folks to see if there is any intrest out there to possibly sell a few sets. I have tried the factory pegs and they spred my feet too much to be comfortable for me. The pegs that I made attach to the front tip-overs and bolt in from the bottom with a bolt and a pin so that they will not rotate.
The pegs are far enough forward that a tall rider, (I'm 6' 1''), can reach them with the instep of his boot but you an also rest your toe or mid sole on the peg with your heel on the floorboard. This helps to remove the angle in your ankle and makes for a much more comfortable riding position for the long haul rider. The pictures that I have are of my bike so you will have to zoom in to see the pegs. When I get back home I will take some close-ups and post them if anybody thinks that they are interested. Let me know what you think.

Well, I can't seem to post the pictures. If I can get this thing figured out I'll get them to you as soon as I can.

I'm curious to see what you came up with. I have been considering the brackets from Arizona Victory recently. I am 6'3" & want something that will allow me to "lay out" a little more than the Vic ones.

pics please, I want to see the "inside" pegs as I do not want the Victory "outside" pegs. I didn't like being spread eagle on the Wing and I don't want it on the Vision. I do want to put my foot stretched forward with a ball of the foot rest.

I sent the pics to tonyi as a pm. I think that the pic files are to big to be loaded on this sight. I am much better with a lathe and a milling machine than I am with this computer. If tonyi can figure it out maybe he can up-load them. I will try to E-mail them to you if you leave your address.

yeah, yeah, that's it. I like those. It even looks like you could put the longer peg to the inside, which is what I would want to do. I'm trying to figure out something for mine and that is close to what I had in mind.

Arizona Victory makes a bracket. Kuryakn makes the different options to mount to it depending on what you want. I got the 2 1/2 inch offset with the barrel like pegs.. Works great for me, but I am 6'6.. DON'T BY THE VICTORY ONES.. DANGEROUS

Post pictures!!! The ones on Arizona Victory don't help. What most are looking for, is something that keeps the feet in and up, instead of out.

Has anyone tried drilling/tapping out the tip-over hole all the way thru, and mounting a peg from there?

How about clearance underneath? I occasionally scrape my floorboards and don't want anything lower than what the factory puts on.
I liked the NOEMTZ Design Heel Blades but was worried about them catching. Anyone have any experience them?

I have the Heel Blades. They are the first thing to scrape when I lay into the corners. The don't catch, they just push your floorboards up a little. The next thing to scrape, is my Ness skid plate. Being a Ness Vision, my bike is also 1" lower than stock.
The Heel Blades are a very wide riding position however, and you must remember to push them back in before you get off the fwy. It is very easy for them to get in the way when you are trying to put a foot down. I am ready to sell mine and replace them with something like the ones on this post.

Why are the Victory Pegs Dangerous?

Probably the same reason the Heel Blades can be. They limit your ability to put your feet down when they are on the floorboards.

I like the peg design and concept, but wonder if lower air deflectors will be in the way of taking advantage of a full stretch with the position of these pegs. It doesn't look like the bike in the pics has lowers. Thoughts?

I REALLY like this design!, however I have the exact same question as above form HLUSN8 regarding the lower air deflectors. I am almost certain that they will get in the way of the lowers being pulled all the way in....which is a big deal hear in Phoenix, AZ during the summer. With that being said, I would still be interested, but I just would like to see how, and where, they would interfere.

Great product! Great idea! I would be curious on a price for these brackets/pegs.

It looks to me like they would clear the lowers. If you look at the photo's posted again, you will see that they are mounted at the rear side of the tip-over. The lowers don't extend that far back, and they are cut out at the bottom outside part... I think they will work!

Any chance of getting a picture posted with a size 12 boot on the peg. Or any size boot for that matter, I would like to see a foot on the peg in the different riding positions. Might be right about the cut out.

I just went and looked at my lowers more closely, in the inward position I think the pegs would be fine. But in the out position I think the outer edge of the lowers will get in the way of the pegs being practical...foot will hit the lowers. It also seems that opening/closing the lowers could be a problem with that peg mount. I see some potential interference. Food for thought.

Hi, guys. I finaly made it home and just got back on line to veiw your comments.
The pegs extend to just inbd of the fairing lowers. As far as the deflectors go I do not have them on my bike but I do not think there will be a problem with the pegs, but there might be with your foot on the pegs. I thank all of you for your comments and look forward to any sugestions that you may have to improve the design. This set on my bike is the only set that I have made but if there is enough interest I will make 10 more sets. These will be custom made to your specs and will require that you send me your tipovers to be modified to fit. I will polish the parts before shipment but if you want them chromed or powder coated you are on your own.I will take $300.00 a set plus shipping for the first 10 sets then well see how it go's from there. I am only home 8 days of the month so depending on the demand it may take awhile to fill the orders. I will not ask for your tipovers until I have all of the parts ready to ship so your bike will not be down as long. My cell phone is 207-852-0890. Feel free to call with any questions/comments that you may have. Roy.

Take a look at the "V" Pegs. I have had them for going on 2 years and wouldn't be without them. These great pegs seem to be overlooked this past year or so.
