Here is a story we are proud of. One of sets of keys to the bikes was even delivered in Afghanistan to the Marine by USMC Commandant General Amos.

You can read the whole story here.

I always appreciate it when our troops are honored, and my hat's off to Victory for so doing. I just wish Victory would pay as much attention to their paying customers as they do to their promotional efforts. (At least this promotional effort is a great and worthwhile one!).

Now don't get me wrong here, I appreciate any time our troops are honored or recognized in any way, and do not want to take away from Victory's generosity. But I do wish they paid at least as much attention to their customers as they do to their promotional efforts. And please don't take my "paying customer" comment wrong; the price I paid for my Vision is nothing near the price paid by our troops, and they deserve all the accolades they can get! I was just trying to make a point that it would be nice if Victory put a bit more effort into their customer service, as that would be the best promotion they could do. So many of us have problems that we have either had to fight to get fixed, or like in my case, have just been blown off by Victory altogether.

I am sure someone somewhere is going to think that my ravings on this particular thread are inappropriate, and that this is no place to make my point (and you may be right). But since Victory thought it appropriate to use this thread to pat themselves on the back, I thought it only fair that they also know that doing good deeds don't necessarily make for happy customers, or keep people coming back.

Again, my appreciation to Victory for recognizing our troops, and my sincere thanks to everyone in uniform who serves to keep me safe and allow me to rant. I wish each service man and woman could get such recognition. Now Victory, can you please fix my mileage computer and stop telling me I don't have a problem?

This is a great thing they have done, I just hope it doesn't back fire. I am in the Army and all too often I hear of fellow service members coming back from overseas, not having the same rush here as they did there and riding a motorcycle too fast, or no helmet or whatever and get in a wreck. Most of them fatal. In fact, a guy I knew and was in Warrant Officer Candidate School with me died about 3 days after we graduated from crashing a bike. If these two recipients wreck or God forbid die on these Vic's that would be very bad news.
