I installed my headlight modulator. My FJR had the same bulbs so before I traded it in, I took it off. And it was a PAIN to put in. A PAIN. Reaching my hand under there and feeling around to pull out some plugs that look like they were GLUED to the bulbs. Ouch. But it's all done.

So . . . . . I'm interested in some low $$$ mods that I can do. I'm thinking of self-installing the two powerlets in the center console. Then I have to somehow change the adaptor to my J&M Integratr to a powerlet to have an intercom with the wifey (unless someone knows of a relatively cheap way to use my J&M headsets and some way to smoothly integrate them with the bike)

Any other recommendations of some low-budget, but highly useful farkles? I'm looking mostly for comfort/convenience mods or preventative medicine for the bike. I do have another specific question which I'll ask in a separate thread, but I'm wondering what lowkey stuff can/should be done.

Thanks all. Time for me to get some sleep so I can be well rested to ride tomorrow.

Welcome aboard sf. Here is a quick, cheap and easy way to add a convenient garage door opener to your bike. There are other ideas as you will find on the forum here but I already had everything except the little push switsch and it was cheap to buy. Now no fumbling and the door is always open before I even get to the garage. Good luck!

Add the LED lights to the rear of your bike. Makes you much more visible to the cages behind you. Some of us have modified this idea a wee bit by using three strings of lights and using a red 30 LED string in the center for the brake light and two amber 24 LED strings, mounted just under the stock trunk running lights, for turn signals. You can also convert the stock trunk lights to blinkers and/or brake lights with a controller. Lots of options here.
