Columbia, SC | I found a grey plug that looks like it can connect to a powerlet adapter under the console. But most people say you can install two. Is there another one? Or is it just some sort of Y-adaptor that comes with the victory powerlet kit that splits that one gray connector into 2?
And I looked around the back, under the passenger seat, for another power adapter. The only thing I found that MIGHT be it looks like it would be a coax female style adaptor. Is that it or is there another gray one around that I have yet to find?
And last set of questions, are those thin wires really up to the rated amps?
And do they already have fuses inline?
And can I split the back power (whatever it may be) to have one hookup in the trunk and one hookup just below the speaker (for example, one for a heated vest for the wife and one in the back to charge her cellphone or charge a computer?)

Thanks guys! Alexi No there is ONE (1) powerlet connector up front and ONE (1) powerlet connector in back (inside the tour pack housing) for the passenger... Yes, I have Gerbing heated jacket liner, gloves, pants and SOCKS and the wire handle the load just fine...As for fuses, I "ASSUME" so but don't know for fact. There is another connection for trunk power and a SEPERATE lead (feed) for the passenger. Just make sure that you get the adapter to charge your cell phone with, my Verizon phone doesn't connect to the powerlet it connects to the standard US 12 cigarette light connection.... |

I have one mounted below the power button on the dash that connects to the Gray Two Blade Plug under the dash. (of my2008) It is rated for 10 amps.
I also have one on the outside of the tour pack below the right speaker for the passenger. I do not know where it connects since I did not install it.

Columbia, SC | Ok. It's a 2009 that I have. So I found the gray powerlet one in the front, so I guess I have to look a little deeper for a grey powerlet one in the back somewhere. And I found a thing online that lets me split each into two. I'll probably use one low draw and one high draw per powerlet.
Ok. Thanks. Does anyone know if they're fused already? If not, I'll add some fuses inline.

Jasper, MO | There is another plug behind the passenger seat filler panel for the optional extra power outlet. My bike is an '08. I don't remember if the plug was grey or black, but it will be obvious when you find it that it is meant to plug right into the optional accessory outlet. Mine was folded up and taped against the wire loom, so I cut the tape and stretched the wire/plug over to the outlet that I mounted below the right/rear speaker. Each of the accessory outlets are fused at 15 amps, but the extra outlets are wired in parallel to the outlets already in the glovebox and the trunk. In short, you can end up with four outlets with a total capacity of 30 amps; 15 amps for the front pair, and 15 amps for the rear pair. The rear circuits are hot all the time and the extra outlet makes a dandy place to plug in a battery tender. The front circuits are switched with the ignition key.
I hardwired the mounted controllers for our heated riding gear into these same circuits by tapping into the wiring harness for the accessory plugs. We can run two full sets of gear (jacket liner, pants liner, gloves) with no problem. Just remember that the passenger's circuits are on all the time, so if she is sitting on the bike with her heated gear plugged in and turned on, and the bike isn't running, you'll be needing a jumpstart pretty soon.
