| Never had anyone say the Vision was ugly, but quite a few who thought it odd. I always just told them it is a love it or hate it design, but nobody who rode one could possibly knock it. That response almost always opened the door to a session of questions and answers on their part.
Learned a LONG time ago folks will attempt to knock something when they know nothing about it. Once armed with a little info they always leave with the same remark, "still think it's odd looking but sure has some cool features," followed by a ride safe or thanks for the conversation.
I liken it to these bike forums; Here folks will comment on Harleys they dusted, or HD riders they crushed with some brutile remark. Over on the HD forum is some guy saying the same things as are the guys on the Suzuki forums, Honda and Yamaha. In sales they always say folks buy with "emotion" and defend that purchase with ration. I think we defend with emotion as well, even if we try to justify with some ration.
At the end of the day anyone riding a Vision can smile to themselves over the ignorance of others.... after all what they don't know really doesn't impact you. |

Republic of Tejas | I participated in a toy run here in Houston today with well over 500 bikes and mine was the only Vision. It's always fun to just stand off in the background and eaves drop on the comments. Even had the police escorts gathered around talking and pointing at onr point. |
