my dealer had thier demo day today for the new 2011 bikes. i rode the vision for 7 or8 rounds today. the new transmission is a great improvement. they have got a lot of the noise out almost all of it as a matter of fact. its a great bike but i think for the money ill just keep my 08 ive already got it looking and running like i want it and i dont want to go any further in debt lol. but ill say if u get a chance to ride one at a demo day or any other time it is well worth the time to see what our vision should sound and run like

Its nice that we appreciate what we have and no new payment is better yet.
Good job on not making the movie.

Did you get a chance to ride the Cross Country? If so, how is it different from the VV?

yes i rode the cross bikes. they have the same frame and driveline as the vision. they do ride as smooth and handle as good a the vision.BUT they do not feel as big under u as the vison and they dont have near as much wind protection. BUT one big plus is they dont buffet as bad in the wind as the vision and they have bigger saddlebags than my vision

don't mean to dicker with you, but the Cross bikes do not have the same frame as the Vision, some of the same core technology, but different frame. The airbox is frame on the vision with the airbox also having the steering head, the Cross bikes have a somewhat traditional steering head. Also, I'll stand with the opinion that the cross bikes handle very much like the vision, but that is subjectable to the rider, as well as the buffetting. The one time I road a cross bike, I felt I would rather be riding a Vegas instead with all the buffetting on the cross that I got.

Saddlebags, ask yourself how much do you really need carry with you? I've not had any issues or concerned with the Vision bags and find that on a day to day ride, and on a trip I can carry what I need. Anymore is a burden and continues to affect the way the bike rides as weight is added.

The only way you will know which one to get is weigh out the options of what you want. Hands down, the Vision is the best handling of the two for me, keeping in mind that the looks is also the genius of its handling due to aerodynamics. The cross bikes are better than anything else out there and has the more traditional look that lets you carry more stuff, and its sticker price is cheaper.
