Leaving for Arkansas in a few days and would welcome any ideas or suggestions on where to ride and what to do. Plan on starting in the north west corner and work my way south then east. If you've "been there, done that" let me know your thoughts.

341, 341 and 341...do not miss this road. i loved it. nice little diner in the town of fifty six (yes thats the name of the town) close to the end of the road. HWY 7, and 23 as well. dont miss the pig tail trail. I had a very good time camping at mount magazine state park, beautiful. great place for a campfire and a great lodge. Also, mount Nebo state park is a must as well. great raod and affordable cabins. its a dry county, so pack your beer/wine in. enjoy!!!

HWY 7 south of Jasper, left on 374, down the hill to right on 123.

If you are down near Heber Springs, don't miss Larry's Famous Hamburgers. Best cheeseburgers we have ever had!

I love 374 and 123. 123 around Mount Judea actually has a sign warning you of severe curves. Push mountain road is (341)is also great. All of these roads have little or no traffic to speak of. 7 is a fun road but traffic can spoil it depending on the time of day.

Riders rest is a cool little place.
There is a little out building made into a little bar by the fire pit with a radio thats cool. Its a BYOB bar but still a nice touch. When I stayed there a wedding party was also going on. Most of the people were cool but when that much booze is flowing there is always a few A-holes and I had the misfortune of meeting them. Long story short- the best man didn't ride a motorcycle and the owner would not let him park his car by the office for a couple hours to spend time partying with everyone. Which of course P***ed eveyone off. Which set off everyones attitudes and lets just say I think the owner was tipping the bottle a little himself that night. They wouldn't let him park his car at the office but you can trailer your bike there and park your truck and trailer by the office and ride your bike to the room and its okay then. Its still a great place to go and have a nice quiet room and tip a few beers back after a great day of riding. Room prices are pretty good also.

I really like Hot Springs and Eureka Springs as places to stay. A lot of different things to do in either town. As far as roads, you can't go wrong, just pick out any route and you'll have fun. My favorites are 7,9,14,16,21,23,27,43,62,74,309,341. Enjoy your trip, and watch out for the deer! And if you like a cocktail and the end of the day, just remember many counties are dry.

Just a heads-up.  School is back in session so be on the alert for stopped school busses out on those country roads early-mid morning and mid afternoon.  VisionTex and I were on Push Mountain Road (341) blasting along over a left-hand sweeper that crested a hill and when we cleared the top, there was a school bus stopped in the opposite lane with the stop sign sticking out.  Took every bit of controlled braking we had not to pass that stop sign.

Any part of Arkansas north of I40, south of Springdale, and east of Pea Ridge is good riding. The extreme NW part of Arkansas is all one big sucky city (Bella Vista, Bentonville, Lowell, Rogers, Springdale all run together now). Mt Magazine and Mt Nebo are good areas. Mena is a good area. The ride across the ridge from Mena AR to Talihina OK is a great ride, and there is a nice lodge up on top.

Thanks for the info all! Did most roads south between Bella Vista and Harrison. Spent 1 night at my uncles in Bella Vista then rented a house outside of Harrison for the rest of the week. Had a great time and saw a lot of great countryside. Thanks again for the info.

That covers most of them I knew and then a few more...
Benton county was the only dry one I recall - but it was 20+ years ago I lived in the area...

The SO and I started in Berryville this morning, rode 21 south to Clarksville, short hop west on I-40 to Ozark, up 23 north (The Pig Trail) to Eureka Springs and east on 62 back to Berryville. 200.3 miles by my GPS and great riding. If hungry when in Clarksville, the South Park Cafe has very good ood at a reasonable price.

Don't forget to stop at Cotham's in Scott AR, SE of Little Rock. Home of the hubcap burger. The building was built in 1917. My wife and I stopped in about a month ago. They are ranked as one of the top places for a burger in the US. I think the man-vs-food guy visited.

When you leave Cotham's head SE to Stuttgart and visit Mac's Prairie Wings Store in the middle of rice country. Everything hunting, with emphasis on waterfowl. Watch out for farm equipment on the roads.

Looks like most of the roads have been mentioned so I'll mention food stops. If you're on 7, about 7 miles south of Jasper is a nice little place to eat. Cliff Side Inn, I think is the name. Awesome breakfast with "too die for" biscuits. It also has an awesome view of the Arkansas Grand Canyon.
Another place is Vickies in Hatfield. It's on 71, just north of 4. Great home made pies.
The Chopping Block in Mena is a great place for steak or burgers. The 5 Alarm Burger is good. Ask for more hot sauce though.

I live in Central Arkansas, so I get into Hot Springs and up into Northern Arkansas at least every other month on a good ride. If you're ever in Harrison, the Neighborhood Mill is a great place to eat. For cheesecake, you cannot beat Rogue's Manor on the historical loop in Hot Springs.

For Central Arkansas, Petit Jean Mountain, is a great place to ride to. They have a fantastic overlook, an antique car museum, and some other neat stuff. You can get to it from Scenic 7 from Russellville for a nice scenic ride.

Be carefull on 7 in and around the clinton area there are several GAS DRILLING RIGGS that many big trucks run to all day and night and they will even try to move the whole drilling platform even on an weekend. Other than that as long as you stay in the northern half you will have a great time and the colors are starting to show well. Have fun
