I was up in Brianhead, Utah today for a club ride with the Sin City Victory Riders. Morning temp 32 with lots of frost on the bikes. Mine started after several tries left it warm up and to get the frost off the seat just turned on the warmers. I noticed that it did not work well so I just brushed the frost off the seat and turned the bike off as we were not leaving for several hours. When I returned the bike started right up, but the windshield, the horn, turn signals, cruise control, radio, power outlets, GPS, brake lights, seat warmers and the gauges did not work. I do have all the headlights even the beam indicator and tail lights, but no shift indicator including N. Hand warmers also work I just installed the Gps and the ipod cable but they all worked great yesterday so I don't think they are the problem. Checked relays and fuses as well as we could at the motel, even took the seat off looking for a bad connection. Nothing could be found. Gauges read as follows, gas full, tach 1, speedometer 0 and volts at 14. Any clue to what caused this or how to fix it would be very appreciated. otherwise the trip was great and the bike ran fantastic.

I had the EXACT same thing happen. All gauges were frozen only the lights and the high beams worked. Turned out my GPS cable grounded to the chasis and blew all my fuses and my radio. The dealer replaced all the fuses and everything worked except my radio display (radio works just no display). Radio is being replaced under extended warranty. I would double check the fuses, the only difference between what I had and your problem is that my hand warmers also did not work. The problem will be covered under the extended waranty... Good Luck

john, I'd spend a few more cents and use dielectric grease made specifically for that purpose. Vaseline may not be too kind to the rubber and plastic parts, but also may take a few years to show the damage from use.

The ground was loose but even after tightening still no change. The bike went to arlen ness Victory today only thing found so far is that they think I need a new front tire. They got it late so I hope they find something in the morning. Thanks for the help.

...it's not likely the tire is cause of the problem, but it is the sign of other things. Hope they get it figured out for you.

Found the problem the next day. I took the GPS off and didnt cover the contacts they think it grounded out and blew a fuse. Jim, the service writer there said the mechanic was laughing when he found the problem. We checked the fuses but must have missed that one. Didn't get it back yet. Cannot wait to pay this bill as stupidity isn't covered by the extended warranty. Thanks for the help.
