Thanks to everyone for all their posting and reviews. I'm new here or at least this will be my first post. I've been reading everyones comments and learning all i could about the Victory Vision and I am pretty excited to say I bought a VISION!

My Girlfriend and I have been thinking of a more comfortable Touring bike. The typical big Bagger just didn't do it for us. I've always said when I see the right bike I'll just know! When I saw the Vision I knew I had to have it. I've had my current (2nd) Harley for nearly 10 years and absolutly love it. There is nothing original on this bike and it's the perfect bike for me. However, it's truly uncomfortable. Anything over an hour is just not fun. Highway crusing is not fun, cold weather is not fun. This bike started out as a Show Bike and won many awards, now it's a daily ride but again just not comfortable. My Girlfriend is a trooper and does the ride, even 4+ hours straight to Tomahawk, but when we get there we are just beat. So I either spend a few thousand and make it more comfortable and destroy the look of my bike or find a Touring bike that we can truly enjoy all the time.

I first saw the Vision at Tomahawk Rally in Wisconsin just a couple weeks ago. I thought someone had created a full custom to look like an old Cadillac or Buick. When I found it was a Victory, I had to know more. I have read all I can and watched every video youtube had to offer. The bike seemed amazing. The next weekend was the first time I got to sit on one and really check it out in person. This bike is so much easier to handle and manuver then an Ultra, I was amazed. I then went to the Victory Test Drive in Elkhorn then right back to Mid City Motorsports to buy the Vision they had on the floor.

So in general this bike is awesome! It desperately needs pipes (I'm still old school Harley), but it is awesome. Can't wait for all my buddies to see this thing. Not sure what they will say, but they are all pretty open minded, and this is still a Big V-Twin "American" (More American then Harley) Motorcycle. And they give me so much shit for making my Girlfriend ride on the back of my current bike. She'll have the best ride around now. I'm just enamored by this Bike and can't wait to do some serious riding. I think I got a pretty sweet deal, it's a left over brand new 2009 Black Cherry Tour Premium. Josh and Scott at Mid City are great to work with and I believe they still have a left over 2009 Black Street Premium that they'll work a good deal on.

I have so many plans for customizing!! Sadly the Harley will probably be demoted to Trailer Queen, brought out for special events and short cruises.

If you have any questions please feel free to post them here. I would love to see the pics of both bikes as well. BTW, the short list for posting pics here is less then 600 pixels wide and less then 80kB in size.

+2  It's entertaining how often you will catch a person nearly breaking their neck to watch you go by, or just stop and stare in amazement.

Your buddies will give you mixed reactions but your friends will be accepting if not truly interested. Enjoy!!!!

Welcome, I feel the excitement about your new ride! I sent you a personal e-mail. As I told you I have just purchased an 08 Vision Street Premium Custom, (custom means the paint job) and am looking to get it home before the snow flies here in WI. I need to ride the living stuff out of this bike before winter to become aquanted with this ride. Rode an 8-ball down at A+ Powersports and a Vision Tour at Tomahawk at Erv's Demo Ride. I also rode a Cross Country and when I get caught up, my 03 TC will be traded in on a CC bike. What a piece of work, comfort-power and great handling even with a big guy in the saddle. My hat is off for every Victory motorcycle I have ever owned, rode or even looked at, congrats to our "New American Motorcycle".

Ride hard, ride fast, but above all ride safe.....

Thanks everyone! I must say I love this bike, I've only put on around 700 miles so far, but what a great bike! And everything I read in the Forum was right on! The only things that surprised me are that my Boots don't fit under the Gear Shifter, got to use the side lip to shift, and how the Wind really tosses this thing around way more then I was used to with my solid rear wheel on the Harley. But in the end, I'm just blown away at how easy this bike it to ride. Cornering is like nothing I've had before, feels like you're on a crotch rocket. I have a ton of ideas for customizing. Hope I can get them done in the winter, cause I don't want to loose any seat time! I've been riding my 100 Miles each morning to work 35 Degrees and amazed how warm I stay behind that faring and with the heated seats ofcourse!

It's only been a couple of days and already got a couple mods done. First thing I did was the Brake Mod to make all 4 Brake lights come one, then I tore apart the exhaust and built my one from Cherry Bomb Glass Packs, from Fleet n Farm! Took some doing, but for $80 the bike sounds pretty good, with very little popping at all. I'm sure I'll get some better pipes in the future, but until I hear them i don't plan on dropping $500+. Next is the LED Brake light strip in the Tour pack. O, I also pretty much fixed the Trunk Rattle or bounce with some cheap Black Rubber Hose (also from Fleet), just shoved it in the small holes and cut to fit. Need a little pad to glue down for the Trunk Light switch and done! I'm working on some pics.

That's adjustable.

Have fun... it looks like you are really getting into this stuff early. I need to find some of your energy.
