I have my hitch doc installed, kompact kamper at the paint shop, now for lights. If I go with leds do I need an isolator for the trailer? I was going to keep the stock lights (they are new) but since I am getting it painted, might as well set up for leds.

I don't think you'll need an Isolator since the led's have very little draw.

I installed an Isolator mainly to isolate the trailer wiring from the bike wiring of any possible wire ground/fault.
