I was hoping that lowering my vision would keep my feet on the ground but I'm getting older and shorter. i have dropped that bike a couple of times because i stepped onto some sand. I have to keep my garage and garage apron spotless because I dropped it once pushing backwards while seated and got a foot on some sand. my foot flew out and pulled the bike after it. i have to ride around block until i find a spot where the gutter and the street are at the same level. some of our streets have gutters that are lower than the blacktop and if i put my right foot down to put the kickstand down i can barely get the bike stood up again and onto the kickstand. i have actually had to lay the bike down on the right side, get off the bike, put the kickstand down and then use my butt to push the bike back up and onto the kickstand. Boy this sounds even worse in print.

Have any of you heard of anyone putting an Insta Trike kit on a vision? I can't find any other options. Trading on a trike is really tough because the current blue book trade in value on a 2008 is only 12500.
That is a horrendous loss if you want to go the trike route. the only way to get the trike cost down is to buy a ten year old trike with 50-100k miles on it and who wants to go from a almost new vision to a ten year old trike?

any ideas? thanks.

Bob, the Vision 8-Ball seat I believe is cut down some from the stock seat. You may want to try that, I know what you mean about sand. Also, Lehman Trikes does a Vision trike called the Crossbow. Give them a call, they may convert your 08.

Contat the Lehman Company who makes the Crossbow Vision Trike and see if you can cut a deal.

Here is one: Http://www.dandjmotorsports.com/showcaseproductdetail.htm?ID=101386...

There is a nice Arteries Red Cross Bow at R&J Performance in Ottumwa IA. I know Rick would love to move it and he typically gives good money for trades. He also has a Black Pit Boss sitting right next to it that might be a little more affordable.

if you are ready to go trike I'd try to cut a deal with a Vic dealer. The 8-ball seat is another great option, drops the bike seat height another 1-1.5 inches. But if a trike is in your sights go that route. OffRoad Express in Erie PA has one in red as well they'd love to move and they tend to give good trade-in prices (814)825-4747 and tell them Tim referred you, might help (ask for Bryan or Joe).
