Atlanta Area | I tested them in late April at about 50mph in a tight left-hander. Unfortunately I was not able to stay on the bike. Any other bike and it would have been totaled and I would have been more seriously injured.
BTW, don't go doing stupid crazy full speed twisties riding without checking the air pressure in your rear shock. I had 7lbs in the shock when I went down. Totally forgot to check it before the ride... I normally pump it up to 35lbs when I am in stupid mode. The whole bike compressed in the turn, hit the tipovers and down I went... All hail the mighty tipovers! |

Albuquerque, NM | Looks like minor damage to the rear tip over. A little elbow grease with a file and some touch up paint should make the damage hardly noticeable. Glad to hear no one was hurt. |

Ruskin, Fl | Glad to hear you came out of OK. A word of caution. I locked the front wheel in a 90 degree turn doing about 30 mph. The asphalt had crumbled into little black rocks that acted like ball bearings. The back of the bike had no damage, except for the tipover, which looked just like the photo. The front was another story. The front tipover has no strength laterally. The tipover snapped off the U shaped subframe. Bike took a real hard hit on the right side. $6900 in damage. I understand they are not ment as crash protection, but if would be nice if that was a little stronger. Than again, don't want a 1000 pound bike. Happy Father's Day. |
