First of all, if you want to....don't. What a pain in the a$$. Victory provided my dealer with a shopping list of all the bit and pieces I needed. I still haven't seen the radio module yet, even though I have it by upper Victory management they will find a way to sell me one. Tonights project was to put the speaker volumes (box) in. This involves removing the tank covers, leg farings, front fairing and signal housings. The little bracket to hold the thumb controls means removing the grips and headlight switches. And of course to add speakers means mirrors and grills come off.
While apart I am taking advantage and swapping the headlights, tinting the signals and a few other tweaks.
Here is my query. I have 2 parts which make up the antenna. I found the barrel connector near the right signal. Where does the little antenna sticky pad mount and where do they route the plastic tube that contains the antenna wire?

Thanks

Very interested to see if you actually get a radio from Victory.
My dealer has been trying to get a radio for his Vision 8Ball but he can't.
Can buy all the accessory pieces but not the radio.

The antenna sticky pad mounts to the underneath side of the windshield's aluminum panel just off center to the left as you look at it; if I remember correctly...

Thanks, and I see that the antenna tube just slides down between the grill and leg fairing. I have installled all the speaker parts which I will need whichever path I take. I am holding off on the rest until I actually have the module in my hand. The other hard to get part is the black console cover. But I can either get a standard one and paint it.

We were discussing this today at the bike show in MA. It sure would be nice if a small Ipod unit could be wired in and just add speakers? Some thing you could tap into a hot wire to charge the Ipod and just have speaker out. At least put the CC antenna on the Vision, it's got to be better than the Vision hidden one? I wonder if any of the custom car vendors have something that would work?
Is the CC radio the same as the Vision's?

Red, you could install amplified speakers. Then just plug in the Ipod or MP3, that is what I had on my Kingpin. Very simple to install and worked great. The FM reception on my MP3 was ok, not great. And good luck on the full install if you go that route, looks like job!

Any further progress on this install? I would love to see a Tech Reference write up on this. In all the events I've been to, that's one of the top questions, "Will there be a radio kit for the 8ball?" If we can come up with a procedure and list of parts for it, that would be great.

i mounted an amplifier under my dash where the radio would be. Amp has a phono input that I can run to my ipod. Amp is 150 watt x2 2ohm. I have 2 5-1/4 2 way speakers. All of it was pieced together thru hawg tunes. If anyone is ever interested i can order all pieces or let u know what they are. Everything came up to roughly 800 to $1000. The thing rocks. My wife and I both wear full faces and she says she can even hear it @ half volume

Not sure what some of you 8 ball vision owners are looking for but I installed an I-pod with a kick but speaker system on one of the demo 8ball visions retail cost is only $360 includes 100 watt amp 2 speakers and the wiring to install it everything mounts under the black console and the I-pod wire just comes out the side simular to a regular Vision. For the cost it is a great system. I have posted 2 videos on you tube it was my first time doing it so my videos are not the greatest but it gets the point across. Check it out So much less work than trying to install a stock Victory system and way cheaper. Check it out http://www.youtube.com/user/8ballTunz
