I have decieded that is time to purchase a radar detector. Does anyone have on on their Vision? If so, what breed is it, where and how did you mount it, and what would you do different if you had to do it again.
Thanks, Dave

I have a Valentine that does front and rear with no remote unit needed for the rear. This is
the best detector I have ever owned. I purchased the 12v hard wire and ran it up near the windshield to the dash. The detector is velcroed to dash. When I park I just pull the cord out and remove the detector. I have had this for two-years and works great. Best thing about the Valentine is you know when the cop has past you as it changes from front to rear.

Valentine One is definitely the best! Upgradable any time technology advances. I have one and with front and rear coverage it has been a huge help especially when traveling out of state where my CHP call signs and stickers do not impress. Especially Oregon!

I have a Valentine that I was considering putting on Ebay....unless someone around here wants to toss me a fair offer. It works perfect, I just simply don't have much use for it anymore.

Do some research and you will find the Valentine unit is pretty much the best detector available.

I have replaced my Valentine One (available for cheap if someone wants it - works like new) with a Bel/Escort 9500ix. It is mounted on a Ram Mount and platform over the brake resevoir and wired into the audio system to override music with alerts. It is the "undetectable" type for when I pass through Virginia - which I am about to do next week enroute to a trip to the Great Smokies. I-81, here I come. I hard wired it down the handle bars and to a switched fuse so it comes on/off with the key.
