yeah, I can see why you would wait. My Pops got frost bite in Korea serving in the Marines. The back of his hands turned black and peeled off. He says it itches alot, and has pain for no reason. I'm trying to send sunny California weather to you all, but the Canucks keep sending that North Pole breeze your way.

I just got word from my dealer today that Victory will NOT replace my saddle bag door because of the dents. Dealer states Victory claims they have NOT replaced any for this issue. Is that true? Victory's response was that it is part of the manufacturing process and occurrs when it cools. I could care less, it's still a dent! Please let me know if you have had one replaced by the dealer and if Victory stood behind it.

Big V,

If you read the thread....what your dealer says it correct. Victory has not replaced any nor have they decided whether or not they will in the future. From what I understand , they are still having the problem in varying degrees. Some have said some new ones don't have it , but from a source close to the issue - the defect varies from pretty noticeable to almost undetectable on some bikes.

We'll see what happens...

My dent is very noticeable. I can live with it if they fix door alignment. The gap in my left saddle bag door is as bad as I have seen. Any fix for this yet.

I don't know about the rest of you, but the forum is a very good way to vent to one another. Action will only come from personal letter to Victory from their flagship customers. That is what I'm planning to do and I'm going to do my homework and make it very professional. The issues I will address are the 1) the dent in the bags, 2) the stalling 3) The dent on the right hand pipe, 4) the arm rests, 5) the non-folding CB antenna, 6) and the stalling. Oh and did I mention the stalling.... Letter will be on its way by the end of the week. I think if we all send our regards to Victory then we may see some action instead of hounding our dealers that just say, "Well, Victory said..."

varyder - I couldn't agree with you more, I have a Customer Service number and will talk to a person before the end of the week. Depending on how the phone call goes I may follow up with a letter. I have had nothing but great service out of Victory in the 8 years I have been riding them.........and don't expect them to let me down now.

On a positive note... Installed the Stage 1, level one pipes last Saturday.... Major difference!
Got the remapping done today and it is like night and day difference in acceleration, and it sounds SWEET!

Bill - I too was up there earlier in the day to chat with the folk. I too are going to get the S1L1 pipes sometime in the feature. I've got to unload this GL1500 first and it is more chrome and stuff for the Vision. I met the other day VaVision who rides a MCTP also and has S1L1 pipes and they sound good. I just hope the wife won't mind them, but she's getting a little more biker chickey as the days go by.

I've heard rumors and such about replacements but no one is piping up since the heat is going down about the saddle bag replacements. I think there was one serious fit and finish problem that was retectified with new bags, but none with the dents. I think that will take all of us writing nice little letters to Victory about their fine product and repetation. Then seeing how they will respond.

I was referring to my wife there Bill. She likes to ride but she likes the quiet rideand tolerates the stock pipes, I'm not sure how she'll take the S1L1.

Foam ear plugs. Local drugstore. Block noise enough but not too much.

Mudge, earplugs for me or her? I have the communication system which convenently cuts out at times... (I'm making a futile attempt to be funny)
