edsasdelli,

I bought the instrument bezel in Black. It is a Victory part that is only $35.00. I installed it yesterday and it made the instruments easier to read. It is cheap. Try it you may like it.

All I had to do was use a small screw driver to carefully remove the metal clips from the old bezel and push them on the black one. I guess I could have ordered the clips as well.

Hi Radioteacher,

Wondering if you can supply me with the Victory Part number for the black dash.

Thanks!

I just ordered one yesterday. Not for glare, but for looks.
I got this off of Polaris's web site.

I was hoping to order one of these today but the Polaris web site no longer has it listed. Any idea if they are still available?

I have since had my console coated in real carbon fiber. Afriend of mine covered it for me. I looked at the fake plastic film stuff, and it just reflects too much for my taste. -----Metalguy

I am 6'2" and have never noticed any reflection or distortion. In fact, after a good cleaning I am amazed at how clear the windshield can be. I guess my riding position just happens to put my eyes in a good spot. And, I guess I'm lucky I got a windshield without distortion.

A suggestion....

I bought a can of KRYLON Satin Black spray paint....$6.99............popped the instrument bezel off and sprayed it.....left it to dry on my workbench for several days and reinstalled it.....looks as good for a fraction of the Polaris price...

As for the reflection/glare off of the console....explored having a carbon fiber replica made to replace the console but the cost was prohibitive so I covered it with a vinyl carbon fiber film and it looks good and no more reflection/glare...

I'm just saying...

I have yet to see a chrome one, but a guy had his done in "black chrome" at the dealer, and it was smokin'! The whole bike was blacked out, and the trim was all done black chrome. Totally sweet. ------Metalguy
