In addition to my Vision I have a Jackpot but don't ride it much because of no music. Does anyone have the Camos bluetooth stereo headset and will it work with my iphone/ipod and have enough sound because I wear ear plugs? If it does work, can I assume if I had a call while the ipod is playing it will interrupt and I can take the call.

I have an older version of these hedsets.... the BHS-600. I have paired it with quite a few different devices. Although my wife does have an ipod touch, I have not tried to pair with that yet.

I can tell you that I have paired with my phone on channel 1 and my pillion on channel 2. I can play music on my phone (LG VX8300) and the pillion will override the music. A phone call will also override the music. I have not taken a call while talking to my pillion yet, so I don't know how the priorities are set. I have also paired the phone to channel 2 while pairing an MP3 plpayer to channel 1 (Insignia Pilot 8GB) and those priorities work out the way you would want them to. Basically, I really like the unit and it works as you would expect. Pretty decent sound, too.

Now Camos has some out with the BHS series. Now you can pair 3 devices to the unit. The buttons are improved, the aerodynamics and the mounting is improved and the battery life is improved. They also went with a miniUSB connection instead of the brick of a firewire connection that the BHS used. I'm kinda lusting after a pair of these BTS's.

Here is a guy who's reviewed many Bluetooth units (along with other stuff). He's a bit of a curmudgeon but I prefer that to blantant fanboyism.

If the BTS system gives you a bit of sticker shock, I'll sell you my BHS units and use that to offset my upgrade to BTS.

It's my understanding that the BTS-200 and BTS-300 are the same animal except the 200 is short range for only driver/passenger comm whereas the 300 is long range for bike to bike comm. And of coarse, the $50.00 difference. For my use I am really looking hard at the 200.

I have the newest model of the Camos BTS-300. I wanted the ability to pair to my Zumo and also use the headset to headset intercom capability.

It pairs with the Zumo 660 flawlesly and when my IPhone pairs with the Zumo 660, I can receive and make phone calls from the Zumo so the IPhone just goes in the trunk on a charger. I also can access my IPhone Contact Phone Book from the Zumo.

I used the Camos on a Big Bend trip last weekend. The only concern I have is that I could not hear well at highway speed (70 - 80). When I slowed down to about 40MPH, everything was perfect. I believe it is how I put the ear pieces in my helmet so I am going to adjust them down closer to my ear canal and see how that works. I wish I could get just a bit more volume but am going to play with the ear opieces to get that.

As for the microphone, I used the Fixed Mount (Stick On) mic in my HJC Modular helmet. The Boom Mic was touching my teeth with the helmet closed. But anywhere I put my microphone inside my helmet face, the sound coming from it on phone calls was excellent according to those I talked to on it. I elected to use the Stick-On method for the Camos instead of the clip mount because of how the HJC Modular helmet is designed. I mounted it on the Flip-up portion of the helmet face and it moves up and down with no problem due to having a good length of cable.

I am ordering the Half Helmet Ear Set / Microphone setup also and they will provide a free cable to hook it up to the BTS-300. That way, I can use it during the summer when I wear the half helmet.

Hope this helps.

I had the Camos BTS-300 for a while but was noit very happy with it. I used it primarily as an intercom and to listen to MP3s. The pairing process was fine. Not a problem. Our problem was being able to hear each other at highway speeds. It was not good at all. Once up to speed we could not hear each other and the music weas low also. I eventually took it back to dealer and went with the wired system (Starcom 1 digital) The sound is excellent and clear on intercom and music. I will be getting a GPS soon and will test it also.
