An issue I've noticed since purchasing my vision and curious if anyone else has this happen. What seems to be randomly: some of the computed values on my menu reset. The odometer and both trip meters retain their memory, but occasionally/frequently the others (Avg MPG, DTE, Elapsed time) will reset to 0 when ignition is turned on. Bike has a new battery, shows no symptoms of low voltage. Doesn't seem to matter whether other accessories (seat/grips/HID beam) are turned on or off.

Anyone else experience this?

thanks,

wes

Mine does it about once every other month or so.  (Two years old, original battery.)  Not enough of an issue for me to worry about but it is noticable.

mine has been somewhere between once every 2 or 3 days to as many as twice or 3x on some days.

I have the same problem, mostly with the timer which resets itself every 3 or 4 times I ride the bike. I have also had the mileage reset itself, but this has only happened rarely. The trip meters are OK.

I complained about this to the factory since the bike was new, but in true Victory fashion, I was told if it wouldn't do it for the tech, they did not see a problem. Of course, I wasn't about to leave my bike with the shop so they could ride it for a month just to see it reset itself, so there was basically nothing I could do (and I tried for a year; the duration of the warranty).

I have also had a problem with the accuracy with the mileage computer (it regularly reads 7 to 10 MPG higher than I am actually getting), and with this the factory just said it was "normal". (I also tried to get this fixed for a year, but the factory just would not fix the problem, or even at least "attempt" to fix it!) I still find it hard to believe that with all their supposed technically advanced design, they cannot seem to make a computer that does simple arithmetic, but then I guess I just expect too much.

Like others have said, mine too does it randomly. I've tried to notice what, if anything I do that might cause it, but no luck.

Funny that you should post this right now; I was about to start a post about it in a few days. My elapsed time resets every few days, too. It has gotten worse over the past several months. Haven't seen anything consistent about when it resets; only that it does it when the ignition is switched off. Sometimes overnight, sometimes in just minutes when I stop for gas. Haven't paid any attention to whether the average MPG or anything else resets, though.

nope, the mystery reset has plagued me from day one, not always but it seems when I really want to make use of it, it resets without me asking it too. But with many perks comes much trouble, I'm just glad my cappacino machine works when I need it. Oh yeah, and the DVD player, nothing like a good movie on the move.

I've found that mine only resets when it's cold - lower than mid 40s. Also, if I've kept it on the battery tender, it won't reset.

"mostly with the timer which resets itself" What I found with my bike is that once the timer hits 24 hours it resets to 00:00. Is this what you are talking about? It's not a big deal to me except on long trips. It took me 2-1/2 days to ride to SLC this past summer, a day to Sturgis and there for a week and home. Once I had 24 hours riding time the timer reset to 0. I would have liked to know the total time in saddle for the trip but would have to keep track of each reset.
Don't know if this helps?

My timer resets at 24 hrs also...just thought it was supposed to...but now I'm not sure. I never really use it so its not a big deal for me.

Mine will reset with as little as 3 minutes on the timer. One day it was below 30 all day (temps as low as 18) and it didn't reset at all that day after various stops and starts, another day temps were in the 40's and it reset a few times. I am more interested in the avg mpg than the timer btw, but everything after trip2 is what resets.

Never really look at or use them. Only use the trip odometer. Easy and accurate on MPG and I know when I should get fuel. How long do you sit and whatch this reset???

I keep mine on the trip odometer, so when I crank it up and see it on the mileage odometer, I know it has reset.
