Has anyone used the powerlet plug receptacle in the glove box for connecting to the battery tender?
The reason I ask, is that I have and the tender's light is green BUT the side "VICTORY" badges are also illuminated!! Is this normal???

Nope. You're not charging your battery via that route. Looking at the electrical prints, you're not charging your battery that route unless you turn your ignition on. The powerlet runs with the lighted badges which are all taken out of circuit at the ignition switch. The schematic is listed under horn relay in the Vision tech manual (since they run beside each other paralell off the ignition I guess). Anyway, this is a first that I can recall on the forums. Too bad this doesn't work or it would be a nice and easy way of leaving the battery on the tender. Kind of like how some of those solar powered car battery tenders work. Good idea though.

There should be a pigtail already attached that is long enough to route to a convenient place to plug in. I've never used it, but it is there neatly bundled in front of the battery behind the shield.

As has already been said, the powerlet outlet in the glovebox is switched through the ignition, so, no, you're not charging the battery. All you are doing is powering the badges. However, if you have the trunk installed, the powerlet in the rear of the trunk is wired directly to the battery via a fuse, or hot all the time. You could charge your battery through it. Be sure to turn your trunk light off.

I had 2 pigtails installed for my heated vest and co-pilot's that connect directly to the battery. I then bought another matching plug set and wired that into my tender. So when I park, I just plug the tender into the co-pilot's vest plug (right by the heated seat controls). zip...done/undone.
