Florida | My dealer was telling me about an upcoming accessory lower wind deflector that can be adjusted to either pull the air away or towards the engine...meaning that in the latter position, can dissipate the engine heat when at speed. I don't know if this is a Victory or an after-market product or when it will be available.
Does anyone know about this accessory? |

Florida | Thanks Tex. You may be correct. I'll wait until after I log a few hundred miles before I consider this addition. Since I'm a "vertically challenged" rider, I'm having the shifter and brake levers moved to the rear position. I'm curious as to how that will affect the heat on the legs. It might help a bit as I'll be moving my feet away from the cylinders a bit. |

, FL United States | I agree that they're FUGLY but the heat is really annoying here in sunny Florida @ 75+ degrees. I've taken to riding with Leg Leathers to shield my calves from the heat. See them @ www.legleathers.com if interested. |

| The Victory truck was here a couple of weeks ago giving test rides. Some of the bikes had these on them. The Rep said they were prototypes and that Victory was in testing for the final units. He said everything has to go through a certain number of hours testing before they get released. The ones that were on the bike had very rough castings. The production versions are supposed to be more refined. Tim |

I have moved my shift and brake levers to the back position. With such a large floor board you can move you feet around a lot so you can change the calf position to the cylinder heads and the heat. As the weather warms, I move my feet to the outer part of the floor board to reduce the amount of heat on my legs. |

New Bohemia, VA | I certainly do not think these things compliment the looks of the bike. Heat is one thing riders will always contend with, so unless you are literally burning, it is just something to get use too. I think I noticed it more on the Vision, only because someone else pointed it out. But as I look back, a hot day on a motorcycle is still a great day!  |
