I dumped mine a while back, and it rolled PAST the tipover stops and hit the black plastic left fairing trim just left of the mirror!!!
I made the mistake of checking my air pressures from the right side, which means that I moved the bike from the right side, back and forward!! Rolling it backwards wasn't the problem, but moving it forward to line up the valve stem to get access to it was where I went wrong. The kick stand was touching the ground just enough to allow it to move back past the center so it wouldn't hold the bike up, and as soon as I let go of it....OVER SHE WENT!!!!
CAUTION....Always roll the bike from the left side so you know where the side stand is!!!

I have never heard of a Vision tipping past the tipovers. I have demo the tip over and even sat on the seat and bounced up and down on it and still would not go past the tip overs.

Yeah I had mine tip over downhill on a significant slope and it still didn't go all the way over. Granted it took a bit of muscle to ease it down gently but it was still a good slope. Was able to pop it back up pretty easily as well.

I had an accident a month ago and it went down on the tip overs to the left side, I even bent the subframe that the front tip overs are attached to and yet the bike DID NOT go all the way over! I've demonstrated the tip over protection quite a few time by simply standing the bike straight up, putting the kickstand up and letting it fall either to the right or the left and it NEVER went past the tip overs. This is the first time I have heard of a Vision going all the way over when it has not involved a significant crash.

I feel sick...

BTW, just a rumor mind you because I can't find the orginal post, or article where one Vision rider loved to show off the shock and awe of the Vision by letting it dropped. He dropped it one too many times and ended up with a cracked engine block...remember, it is a support member....

I've "placed" mine over on the TOP and get somewhat the same reaction, "what's the idiot doing..." but I won't drop it for the fun of it...

If you tore one down to the supports and seen it for yourself; especially the lower front frame, you wouldn't be showing the tipover protection over to everyone. Either that or you wouldn't care that it was bending the frame. I have a pic of a damaged one in my gallery. 3/4" O.D. mild steel tubing isn't all that stout. After it bends all the plastics bolted to it starts to stress and crack too. This is from experience. Seen lots of posts about people demonstrating their tipovers. I loved doing it in a crowd too. Not anymore. Take it or leave it.

Believe me guys, I haven't demonstrated the tip over protection feature since I first read about the support being able to get bent from doing it, but I was primarily using that as a defense of the tip overs protecting the bike from going ALL the way over as was the original topic of this thread.

The only time I ever did a demo of the tip overs I controlled the bike all the way to the ground. No dropping it for me.

I moved my bike forward while cleaning the wheels and had the same thing happen with the kick stand. I move from the left side now or double check the the stand is all the way down. As far as the tipovers, I can't bring myself to just drop the bike on purpose. I have no problem gently setting it on the tip overs to show somebody.
