What do you think about this bike and price? It seems like a good price to me for a new Vision comfort.

It's a good price. Mind you, it's NOT the premium model with chrome so you're going to have powdercoated handlebars, matte finish rider floorboards, etc. Some don't mind one way or the other since it doesn't affect the ride and saves some $, no big deal.

Good price. I got my Comfort Tour for close to that plus they threw in: ipod cable, gatlin tips, lighted side badges. I love mine and don't miss the chrome at all! Remember, if you buy this year, you get a rebate on sales tax!

Obama is giving back your Coweta county sales tax if you buy a new scoot before the end of this year...

That's about $1400 off the price of the average Vision Tour Premium for you...  Off meaning your gonna get it back on your tax return for this year...

Careful guys. Just remember a $1k credit on income tax really equates to about $30 real cash in hand.

A "tax credit" is the full amount of the tax. So, it would be $1000 ( if that is the tax). If it was a "tax deduction", then you would only save the amount equal to your marginal tax rate applied to that total tax amount.

Mongo,
Webhair and I went down to the Columbus dealer today to pick up some pipes for his wife's Vegas. Saw, the bike, it looked nice. They also had an ice blue comfort as well...

Newnan Say's, "Where you been Dude!"

The company I work for has it's headquarters in Cedar Rapids (Rockwell-Collins).

I bet you're cold right about now.

Thanks Chris,

You are by far, the most enthusiastic Vision rider that I've talked to.

I have scheduled a test ride at the Cummings dealer. I also talked to Jeff. He seemed pretty cool but he didn't know the answers to many of my questions. He did however, find the people that did know the answers.

I expect to enjoy the day and finaly make up my mind as to what make and model I will buy.

I hope you enjoyed a grand day for riding today.

I'll be at the Cummings dealer on Tuesday.

I bought my 08 Tour Premium from Jeff on December 5, 2007 and would not hesitate to do business with them again. His mechanic is Mike and he is the only person that has ever serviced my bike and I have never had any problems. Just a heads up on bragging about them too much as Jeff read on here once before when I bragged about him and he wanted to charge me more for "premium" service...and what a great day it was today to ride as I put 300 miles on the bike!!!

When I had my Goldwing I had to ride 2 hrs away to get a good Tech to work on my bike when a Honda dealer was less than 1 mile away. Going to Cumming will cut my travel time by at least 1/2 hr. I'm also pretty good with my tools. I'm even better with electrical issues and mods.

I guess I got my dealer set. Now I just need to test ride the bike and pay off my car.

One more thing. The new 2010's, are they Premium and Comfort Tour only? Did they do away with the base model?

jama, sorry if I wasn't clear. Yes you get to deduct the entire 1k from your income, however that will only net you about $30 on your return. Hope that makes more sense. I was trying to be brief for a change, lol.......
