I think I can sum up the Vision in just one sentence: If a Yamaha Roadliner and a Honda ST1300 got drunk and had a one-night-stand, their love child would be the Victory Vision......I'm just sayin'

A Victory being the bastard son of two japcycles? I think perhaps you should reacquaint yourself with Gregor Mendel. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregor_Mendel

Joking aside, I've entertained myself for hours dreaming up various unholy unions that would produce the Vision, so your point is well taken.

Roadliner and ST1300, huh? My first thought was Goldwing and a crotch rocket of some sort.

Adam,

Thanks for letting me check out your ride.

Very nice looking Vision you have.

You work nights? Then get your lazy azz over here now. I was about to head out to garage and convert the Vision from a street fighter back into a touring bike by reinstalling the trunk. Don't let a little rain stop ya!

I did not buy at Blackjacks, I bought from the dealer in Birmingham...

Come now, bring beer!

Mongo,
I live in Senoia... about 10 minutes from Newnan. You are cordially invited to come over and I will give you the grand tour as well as a thorough test ride. Tomorrow night there will be 3 Visions at my house. I have become a staging area for a ride down to Florida which is happening on Wednesday. Call me: 904-334-3526

Adam

I work nights.
Did you get your ride at Balck Jacks before it closed down? I'll call later tonight during my lunch break.

Van,
No problemo, but you really need to ride it to fully understand...

Jeff, the new radio has an improved (higher resolution) display...

Do you own a museum? All those carburetors must keep you busy.
BTW, My Goldwing is anything but boring.
Can your vision do this? See the link.

Yeah, I found out last year about the plant in Ohio being shut down.
I'm afraid that the Asian built Wing is going to be expensive price the Wing up and beyond the cost of a Harley Ultra.
After seeing Adams bike, I would like to test ride the bike.
I've also written Polaris asking some questions. nothing but an auto matted reply.

Actually Mongo, I've not seen it personally or any video for that matter, but I know I've popped my front wheel off the ground by perhaps a mere inch at least twice, and I've heard tales of others doing the same. There's even one that has said they have even rode a wheelie as well.

None the less, any bike bike such as the Wing, Vision or other like bike pulling the front wheel off the ground and riding for any lenght is a great feat.

Something funny, I work for a Japanese company but ride a Victory and drive a Dodge. This is in reference to the Wing going back overseas.

FYI, I'd strongly suggest seeing and having your bike serviced with the guys at Polaris of Cumming.....Freedom Powersports North of Marietta is a waste of space

Jeff and 1atom, I just had the newest radio installed in my 08. The display is different, saying "VICTORY" in big block letters when off. When turned on it displays the station frequency central, to the left is the channel name and/or song playing. When you hit the volume control a bar appears on the lower display which fills as the level increases. A completely different look from the radio.
The Weatherband seems to have much better reception, but anything would have been an improvement over my stock radio, but I haven't hooked up the Ipod yet to know if there is any difference.
All I can say with certainty is this is the first time since I purchased my Vision that I actually have the functionlity and reception it should have had from the start. I've been without WX and radio reception was piss poor on the old radio, not to mention lock ups, frozen display, fried Ipods, etc.... Hopefully no more radio issues for me. By the way the NEW radio just shipped to Victory on 10/16.

yes, I went there 1 time after the sale to try, wound up with a scracth on my saddle bag durring a rear tire change. They strapped the bike down with a bare iron hook to my grab rails. I should have known, you can't beat Jeff and Mike in Cumming

Teach, post some pictures of the new radio display when you get a chance.  I would like to see the various screens.  Startup, FM, iPOD, etc....  Sounds pretty cool...

Thanks!

Adam
