Let us know how it rides with this bigger wheel. I don't want to bust your bubble but I did talk to a Victory employee that got to ride the Ness bike with the 21 inch wheel and he said it didn't handle well at all. He said it really changed up the geometry of the bike. It looks really cool that’s for sure!

I've also heard it negatively effected the handling of the bike. It's does, however, look better with the 21" up front.

Agree. This is on my list but not if it affects handling. Please give a review. Can't wait.

You got me nervous now! Did you read that in a article Mike? The last thing I want to do is screw up the best feature of the bike. The tech at Ness told me the bike would handle the same and thats why I ordered it. Please pass on what you heard or read while I still got time to cancel.
Thanks,
Shane

Shane, I also have heard the 21" wheel affects the Vision's handling. The company that did the demo rides for Victory is Skip Barber. When they were in Houston, the lead person from Skip Barber told me he got a chance to ride a Vision at Ness's shop. His comment was it changed the handling completely, he did not like it. That's what I know. Good luck.

The question I have does the kit you ordered just change out the wheel or does it also change out the fork? The Ness bike with the 21" wheel also has a different fork at a grater rake plus the bike was lowered. If you can just change out the wheel without any changes to the fork or rake then you will only be adding some more height to the front with the bigger wheel. This may not affect the handling much.

I know the Ness's to be some of the most honest, down to earth people in the motorcycle business and if you ask the hard questions and they tell you the right answers then I wouldn't worry as they will stand behind what they do and say.

Arlen and Cory both put 21" wheels on the bikes they did. Cory bolted one on the stock forks, while Arlen changed the entire front end. I recall reading that handling was affected on both bike, but it was worse on Arlen's. However, I'm not sure what width wheel either of them used.

If they simply bolted up a wheel from a Vegas or Jackpot with the skinnier tire, I can certainly see where handling would suffer. However, If I remember right, they are now offering a 21x3.5 wheel. Since the Vision comes stock with an 18x3, the width of the tire doesn't need to change from the stock 130, so I wouldn't expect handling changes to be a huge issue.

The kit changes the wheel, hub, disks and pads not the forks, I sent a email to a victory mech. and this is what the tech sent back... "If the outside diameter is close to the stock diameter because of a lower profile tire on the 21" rim handling might even be better as there would be less sidewall flex when cornering, the contact patch is also a key factor in handling....Arlens bike is nothing close to stock at the front end so the concern about a stock vision handling the same as Arlens vision is a non issue. The kit should provide a stock ride as the only thing changed is the height of the wheel and could even prove to Handel better with the use of high end tires." Hahahahahah looks like I got some thinking to do!
