This is the second time that I have laid the bike down because of mud. 1st time there was no damage because it was warm and the bike just sunk into the mud. After a bath, she was good to go. Yesterday was a different story. I brought a Gerbing suit Thur. and was on my way to the shop in the back yard to install the wiring when I had an ohoh. And what a oh sh!x it was. I was only running about 5 mph when I hit mud. The ground still looked solid from being frozen the night before. When I hit the mud, the tip overs just sunk in the mud. I guess some of the dirt was still froze, because it tore the bike all to hell. Oh well, good thing the insurance was paid up. I called them at 1:00 on Friday and by 3:30 the adjuster had already been by and told me to carry it to the dealer to get fixed. Not sure if the rest will be as easy, but I am still happy so far in getting Rosie taken care of. ET

I'm glad the insurance is taking care of it for you. I think it's a snowmobile, you think it is an ATV, it's made by Polaris' division called Victory, and they only make MOTORCYCLES, and they ain't dirtbikes nider!

I was thinking about putting a knobbie on the rear. It might just help. ET

ET, good call on getting the dealer to fix it. I damaged my fender (bumped into the brackets on my rear Escalade seats in the garage) and the ONLY way to get a good paint match was with the factory Vic 2-part paint. My buddy owns a body shop - he used a color matching camera first, no dice. Sent the fender to the PPG lab in Detroit, no dice. Spent the money on the Vic paint, bingo.

Sorry for the damage, but use Vic paint to get her back to the way she was.

All of the body panels come pre-painted.  All the dealer does is order the correct part numbers for midnight cherry...

I do recall that. It was going to run me around $300 for the fender. Paint cost me ~$100 as there was a little used.
