Every year we take a 1-2 week motorcycle trip to states we have never riden before. (17 down and a whole lot more to go) One thing we try to do is stop at as many Victory Dealers as posible to check them out and give them a little business. Some are great and some are not so great but any dealer is better than no dealer at all. What I'm looking for is Names and States of Dealers that have really done a good job of representing the Victory brand. Someone who has a decent inventory of bikes, parts, and apparel and shows a passion for what they sell. These are the ones that I want to make sure I stop at when I'm within a few hundred miles of their door. I'm lucky as one of the better dealers I have been to is in my own backyard. If you get near southeast Iowa you must stop by...........you will be glad you did.

R/J Performance
Ottumwa, Iowa
Over 40 Victory's on the showroom floor.
Hundreds of shirts, jackets, vest and so on. One of the few that have dealer T-shirts.
Lots of parts in stock, wheels, seats, pipes and chrome.
Sales people that wear Victory apparel every day and ride Victory's to work.
Service people that know their shit and do whatever it takes to work with your schedule.
In house Dyno to check before and after performance and a whole lot more.

Please don't list any "bad" dealers as it is not my intention to bash those who are not doing as well and are trying to improve. Let me know your favorites so I can try to plan them into my next trip.

Arlen Ness has a premier motorcycle shop in Dublin Ca. A few other locations around the nation but I purchased and get service from the Dublin location which is their headquarters. Not only will you see a selection of Victory Motorcycles and accessories but he also displays several customs as well as his museum with many of his creations on display. There is Victory apparel as well as Ness apparel available as well. You can see some pix in my galery posts. A cool place to visit even if you are not interested in buying.

American Cycle Center in Birmingham.  Currently located off I-65 at exit 252, but about to move to exit 242 if everything goes through.  They have a lot of Victory bikes, though they also handle Ridley, Royal-Enfield, and Red Horse.  They have a dyno and a machine shop to make custom mods and offer demo rides.  They have regular ride-ins, barbecues, and fundraisers.  They take their bikes to other ride-ins such as Lightning Strikes, 29 Dreams, Thunder Beach, and Daytona.

Even before I bought my Vision, I always took my Honda Shadow there for maintenance.  The first time I went there, I needed to get a new tire because of a large nail in one of mine.  This was the first time I had ever been there and I was on a Honda.  It was lunchtime and the service folks took it right in and worked through lunch to get me in and out with a new tire so that I could ride back to work.  When I decided to order my Vision, they had ordered six and five had been spoken for.  I got the last one they had pre-ordered - actually it was the one the owner had ordered for himself, so I got the first Vision in Birmingham.

Good people there.  If you get a chance to talk to Carl Brackett, in the showroom, do it.  He is really a cool guy.  Long-time HD rider; total convert to Victory when they came out.  Usually rides about 40 miles to work on his TC. except when he is sick.  Everybody there rides and has a passion for bikes.  They're going to story my Vision and Shadow for me for the next year while I'm in Kuwait.  They will bend over backwards to take care of you.

Oh, and they're open six days a week - M-F 8:30-5:30, Sat 9-5.

I will have to give Randy's a visit one day this spring as I should be able to get there and back in a long day. A co-worker of mine grew up in that area and goes back to visit often. One Monday when he came back to work he brought me a shirt with Randy's Cycle logo on it. He dosn't ride but mentioned it was a nice shop.

Victory of Terre Haute, Indiana is a pretty good dealership. I guess it is one of the highest selling dealerships in the country on a regular basis. They probably have the most accessories of any dealership in Indiana. They also sell only Victory. It is right off I-70. There is a dealership on 16th street in Indianapolis called Indy Victory and Polaris Motorsports. They probably have the most Victory bikes and Polaris ATV's. They also sell Triumph and will be selling BMW in 2008. It gives a people a chance to see Euro bikes....if they want. About 15 minutes south of Indy is a small dealership called Indy Power Sports. They don't have alot of accessories or bikes, but they only sell Polaris and Victory, which I like to support. It is right off I-65.

Dean Cross and the boys are as passionate as can be when it comes to the Victory product line. They have never failed to fix any problem and to fix it right the first time.

FRS Powersports in Memphis is great.  Not a big shop but absolutely first rate service.  Has a real hometown feel to it.  The manager, Brantley, is also a mechanic so he knows how to troubleshoot.  Great bunch of guys.  I'll let them do all my maintenance "by the book" even though I could do it myself.  Good karma.

Don't be fooled by the physical appearance of Randy's. It's a very old building that they will be torn down in the near future to widen the road. He is currently looking for a new facility. This is one place that Shouldn't be judged by the look of the cover. When you talk to Randy, you will see the passion he has for Vic's and anything on 2 wheels. I did buy my current Vic (Hammer S) from him in June. Actually, he is the only Vic Dealer in Chicago Metro, 3 facilities have closed in the past few months. The other 2 that are class dealers are Douglas and Fry in Sterling IL (Close to Iowa Boarder) and G&G Power Sports just outside of Milwaukee.

Hey there Blackjack - I bought from Warners and couldn't agree more. Dean, Chad and the rest are GREAT!

Also check out this link - It's the "un-official" dealer rating site... I looked it over before I bought from Warners.

Zack's Vtwin in Hyde Park , NY.

An original. He's been around since the 99's hit showroom floors. His knowledge of Victory's is extensive. Want some custom work done? Zack will take it from start to finish like it's his own. Need exchange chrome for your Vic? Call him.

Both Zack and his wife Rita have hosted every Victory event they've had an opportunity to. They are longtime supporters of the VMC and just all around great people. Located in the home of FDR and minutes from the mighty Hudson,Marist and the Culinary Institute of America....a Must Stop.

Sorry I am not going to make some dealers feel worse because they may not be. What I would like to do is list dealers that I have had dealings with and I would recommend owners to do business there.

My local dealer is:
Advanced Automotive in Griswold, CT. I bought my '03 there.

Higgin's Powersports in Barre, MA.

Zack's V-Twin in Hyde Park, NY. Rita is a GREAT cook.

HK Powersport's in Hooksett, NH.

Warner's in Bloomington, MN (someone correct me if I have the wrong address) I remember when they opened on a Sunday so we could change our oil.

Tri-City in Slat Lake City.

Lloyd in Pine Bush, NY. I know he is not a dealer but he has to be mentioned here.

Ness in CA. When I was trying to get their bullet lights to work on my '99 I talked to Cory Ness directly. This was before they became a Victory dealer.

I am sure there are many more and hopefully I will get the chance to stop in and meet them. Some places I did not list because I have had no business dealings with them just stopped in and looked at inventory and maybe bought a hat.

Shaker Valley in Enfield, NH - a great Victory dealer!

Paul Bench sometimes meets me half-way (they are about 90 miles away) to bring me parts - an excuse for us both to get out and ride.

Right on hiway 69 in beautiful Prescott Valley, Arizona.
