I was having a squirrelly issue with the Vision over the past several months that made it challenging to ride in certain situations, to include the infamous tar snakes. The bike would track, and I could ride hands off, but it seemed to have a mind of its own at times and would drift. Because of how it felt I thought that it was the rear bushings and had planned to rip the bike apart and replace them. Knowing I needed to grease the steering head bearing I pulled it apart and found it to be loose as a goose. Since I've greased it and torqued it back, she's back to her old self again.

So, I wondering if those who have whined, excuse me, sorry, complained about tar snakes and wind buffetting beyond reason may be suffering from a loose nut?

I say this because the vision rode like it was on a rail when I first got it, but when it was loose, it was loose, but still "ok". Things like tar snakes was a little challenging. Now the rail feeling is back, and I know the difference it good on tar snakes and all other situations again.

I would be willing to bet the shop thinks there is a loose nut causing havok with my Vision but I have to say my Vision is the most sure footed bike I have owned to date. My Front fork was repacked just before my trip to New Smyrna and it was a dream all the way.
