Just wondering whick one would be noisier. Seems the ness with the K&N open only to the sides of the intake tunnel could possibly be quieter. I have an '08 with S1/L2 and the Lloyds intake plate.

I would agree. At first, I thought "this is not going to work", but really the only time I am very aware, is when I first fire her up and all you hear is engine (sweeeeeeeeeeeeet sound !!!!!!) Turn your radio on - you won't notice) Do it (nike you know...)

Cheers!

Just added the VFC III and the noise I was getting is all but gone. Seems the most of noise must have been related to a lean condition requiring to running more throttle opening.

I have a terrible high pitched noise that sounds like metal rubbing on metal. I'm worried that something happened when the bike was Dyno checked. The noise is coming off the top of the bike on the front end. I hope it's just the plate.

Did you just install the Intake or did the dealer do it? With plate by itself you could get a high pitched sucking noise but no metal on metal. The Vision will redline between 5200 - 5500 RPMs, no damage should happen running on a Dyno at this level unless you already had a issue.

I had everything done at the AVR. I'm sure Lloyd would have said something if he thought something was wrong. I'm just nervous.
