Tacoma, WA | Sat on it, looked at it...NOT my cup of tea. I was hoping I would like it better in person. It has the most hideous "crash guards" I have ever seen. I have no idea what they were thinking there. I love the back of it, however. Love the bags, like the tank. Nice bike, but can't get past the bars...big, square-ish, and ...an eyesore, to me. If they would come off, it would be another matter, and maybe they do. I am sure they will sell a few, but I would bet the cross roads will be the bigger seller. If only they offered that one with a round headlight. Just my impression. ------Metalguy  |

Atlanta Area | metalguy, the crash bar is removable and the Cross Country can also be fitted with the round crash bar from the Cross Roads.... Problem solved! |

seattle, wa | I also went and looked at it at Hinshaws today. I kinda like it. The crash bars are different but I like them, I noticed some kind of mounts on the inside, must be for highway pegs? I love the rear of the bike too. How would it look without the bags? |

Southeast Iowa | I had a chance to touch and feel a Cross Country at the factory about a month ago. I don't think you want to ride the bike with the bags off as it is not very appealing. There is a cut out on the exhaust heat-shield where the bag rest. There is a rather large support and bracket there that is not very attractive. As for the weird looking crash bar.........I agree that it is fugly but may have more functionality that a round one. The inside is pre-drilled and tapped for cruising pegs and driving lights. I think next year you will see a version of this bike with hard lowers mounted in this area similar to the Ultra. If it does that will make the bar look much better. I think that same bike will also have a trunk. |

Houston, TX | The Xc definitely has some different styling with the engine guard. But it's really no different from the Vision which is also different. Whichever bike you prefer there are some things to get used to. |

| Well, I think the crash bars are the coolest! HA! I guess everybody sees things differently. And I like the squared off headlight! I think that the cross country is awesome. I have an 09 vision and love it, but if I were buying today I bet I would have bought the cross country because the looks of the Vision would have deterred me. Lucky for me I bought the Vision, and I love the looks now, and I get all the greatness of its capabilities. I would have missed out on of all that if I had bought the XC. The XC is beautiful and traditional (albeit with a fantastic new feel to it).. but the Vision is far superior.

Reno County, KS | Reading about the XC, the interviewed designer (can't remember names here) stated that the XC was targeted for a more traditional crowd. Both of the new bikes were not designed to compete in the same market as the Vision (being targeted to the pure luxory touring crowd). What I got out of it was the XC is for people who like the more traditional Ultra Classic and the Cross Roads was aimed at people who favored the Road King styles. (And of course the Vision is favored by the more intelligent, handsome crowd). LOL |

The flat X-C bars look aerodynamic and personify the "in your face, this ain't old school" styling that I have come to like so much from Victory. Bring it on! |

Tacoma, WA | As far as the headlight, I was referring to the headlight on the cross roads, not the cross country. I don't mind the one on the XC. It is just me...I like round. Same with the bars on the XC. ------Metalguy |

| If I can't get the suspension worked out on my Vision I'll likely trade it on a cross country. I'd hate to resort to giving up my power windshield, but the suspension leaves me feeling less than confident and that I can't live with.
Metalguy, should be a minor thing replacing the headlite with a round. |
