You wanted to know what my numbers were when I took my bike back to my original shop . Max power 118.73 , Max torque 116.23 .

LLoyd,
Thanks for calling the shop back . The shop said that a lot of perfomance people would not have called back to answer questions Re: VFC-3

S1/L1 pipes with latest Caifornia Victory factory map as a base.

Ken,

You have to add your numbers to your signature.

Do you have the stock recall map or the Stage 1 stock recall map?

Thanks,

Tim

Nope.

We had both of our bikes done at the questionable SD dyno.  Mine read 101/105 and Ken's read 105/105 on that dyno.  We have both had ours done by independant dyno's since then, but at different shops.  Mine was just a couple of pulls with no additional tuning.  I believe Ken's tuner changed some settings on his VFC3.

I have the Ness Big Honkers and Ken has the Victory S1/L1 pipes.

I have about 4X as many miles on my Vision than Ken's.

I have one of the original VFC3's with the original programming.  Ken has a new VFC3 with the latest software on it.

I have the stock recall map on mine.  I am not sure what map Ken has on his.

Those are the differences that I am aware of.

HTH,

Tim

P.S.  I WANT HIS NUMBERS !!!

Also, TimS, Lloyd told me that you might lose a few HP with non-baffled mufflers like the Honkers.

That's what I'm talkin' about! Quick question??? You have to break in the cams after you install them or can you dyno them right away?

KevinX had us run the bike at fast idle (1,400 to 1,600RPM) for 10 minutes after the install and before the dyno.  This apparently tempered the CAMS.  The bike was on a fan for a cool-down after the 10 minutes.  That was all the breakin recommended by KevinX.

HTH,

I like those numbers as well. I was also told that you will get bigger numbers for the S1/L1, than over any other exhaust.

JustBob,

I have never met Mike but I have read only good things about the man. I even met a Vision Rider in downtown San Antonio for lunch about six months ago. Ken and Pen talked about the great work that Mike had done on their Vision.

When I first saw the Vision in magazines I was concerned about the wild design of the thing. That "First Ride" article changed my perception about how stable a touring bike can be. It opened my mind to the possibility of buying a Victory and waiting for the Vision.

The thing that sealed the Vision deal was the great manager at Arlen Ness's shop in Dublin. I showed up with the wife 45 minutes before closing on a Thursday in September of 2007. Ten minutes later I was upstairs in the warehouse looking at a the Vision demo fleet. The manager asked my wife to try the back seat of the Vision out. She climbed on the back and said with a big grin "Cool".

That was it. After I paid off my Trailblazer I bought a Vision.

WOOF!!!!!! I knew it was gonna be big, but that is crazy. Tims bike is pretty much on average with most I have done, but I have only had one other that banged out big numbers. Those numbers were not even close yours

Thanks for the reply! I can't wait to get warmed over cams. Lookin' like our time is confirmed in Denver. This bike has gotten more addictive than my hot rod did... I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that SDvic's bike pulled such high numbers despite the Ca. tuning. Probably the highest numbers I've seen posted for the Camz.
