I just put in both numbers that you listed for the filter new out of the box, 2876628 and 7081395, into the search box on the K&N web site. Both of the part no's came up with "No products found, please try your search again". Hmmmm? Where did you get the filter from?
Chrome IS a color!!

The 2876628 is a Vi only number, and the 7081395 is a manufacturer number. Since K&N does NOT make the filters for 08-09 Vics; it is no surprise that you could not find it

I know it's not clear in the picture, but you can make out on the box that it's from Pure Polaris.
K&N does not make the performance filter for the Vision. A lot of people including myself thought they did, but we were informed otherwise. I know they use to as I have a K&N in my other bikes.

Another note on the air filter controversy that will NOT go away. I looked carefully at the picture of the filter, then put in the web site shown on the box, "PUREVICTORYGEAR.COM". It took me to Power Sports Network, which does have a few Victory parts available. It listed the 'performance air filter' under the list of 'Performance Accessories', but did not have a picture. It is listed at $59.95.

Try Victory's site. http://victory-usa.com. I think there is a link to parts there.

Ok here, but as you can see this is not a picture of the Vision air filter. This looks like a K&N for the other bikes. This is what I have in my Vegas, and Kingpin.

Surprise..Surprise..the stock number on the filter right from "Pure Polaris" is the same number as is on the box in your pic, 2876628. was going to add a pic, but will have to start blog from scratch I guess

Here is the pic I saved directly from "Pure Polaris". It is the filter they list as their high performance filter. I ordered it for $75 with shipping. Kinda steep, but should last longer.

Just so you know, it isn't gonna look like that. It will look like the picture I posted. If you read the disclaimer on the Pure Polaris site under that picture it states:

NOTE: Filter image shown on this ad is for illustrative purposes only. Actual filter appearance will vary.

Just don't want you to be mislead or disappointed.

Here is the picture from Pure Polaris;

Note on thew bottom of the description it says that it is for ilistrative puposes only, and that actual apearance may vary. They say that because the filter shown is for a 00-07 Victory
