Got home a couple hours ago, we left our dealership at 10am Friday morning and did a group ride of about 18 bikes from Richmond, Virginia to the Outer Banks of NC to the bike weekend.
Great weather, we all put about 700 miles on the bikes for the weekend. Got to meet a couple of you guys while I was down there. That was GREAT !! We all stayed at the same hotel
and did a lot of the rides together. All in all, there was much to be seen, underdressed
women who still havnt learned the difference between sexy and slutty, guys who shouldnt wear sleeveless ANYTHING esp past the age of,,,, muscle tone... I used to get angry at cagers who changed lanes without signaling, but lemme tell you SOME OF YOU GUYS ARE JUST AS BAD. ( I think its actually just HD owners who feel we all are mind readers). I think ive seen
about every accessory one can put on a bike. Even the long flexible straw some dude had going into his helmet and the other end was around his side originating somewhere inside his soft luggage.... (im thinking either oxygen tank, beer, or gatorade). We had great Victory sponsored events throughout the weekend, great socializing, food, bike chat, photos photos photos. My better half even drove the Rune down as part of the group and as usual, got more attention on that bike than I did on my Vision. I am chaulking it up to the fact that I was in a parking lot with about 28 other Visions, so I didnt stand out enough to get the usual attention
I am accustomed to. Yesterday, I did feel like the official chrome Victory spokesman for the
weekend. Once people saw that I had just about everything chromed that one can chrome (except for those damned passenger grabs,, thats next), Vision owners were coming up looking at what piece they "had always wanted to add, but wanted to see how it looked first". HEY VICTORY, IM EXPECTING A CUT OF ALL NEW CHROME SALES ". One couple came down from another hotel because they heard that there was a Black Vision you could actually see from
outter space. Got up this morning to prepare for the return home, and went out on the balcony
to look at the ocean, looked down and someone had lost their drawers on the side walk, so apparently someone had had even a better time this weekend than I did !! We finished the event with an official Victory photograph, but with a twist. Someone in our Victory group had
a friend with a helicopter, so with a few calls and some timing, we lined up about 50 Victory bikes and all stood behind our own bike and he did a few fly by's and took some hopefully, great photos. Look for the pic in the up coming Victory Riders magazine. Im the one thats just the shiney reflection on the end ! Oh yeah, we had beer, and icecream too..... GREAT FUN
THANKS VICTORY .... one final re-affirmation I noticed..... Harley's are TRULY a dime a dozen, just go to any bike event.

Sounds like you all had fun. Wish i could have been there as well but living across the country from ya makes it a little hard :-). I'm sure seeing all those other vics was very cool and fun for all the owners. Cant wait to see pics in the upcoming Victorys Magizine. It's funny you said that about the HD's (TRULY a dime a dozen) my wife was making that commnet as she sat on street glide yesterday to see how it fits her.. She liked it which shocks me since she could care less about that brand of bike. She is ready to make a jump from her 900LT to either a kingpin low or street glide. She really likes all that you get with teh glide compared to the low but only time will tell. Again thanks for sharing your story of fun with us all.

Just as a note, the helicopter was "All Out Cycles", one of the sponsors. As soon as the photos are available, if i can get my hands on a copy, i will post it somewhere everyone can download a full size version of it. Wish i could have stayed from Friday till Sunday, but just coming down and taking care of the guys clutch cable and dinner at the Weeping Radish was good enough. Since i only live about 1 1/2 from the Weeping radish, i will be going back to buy a case or two of that fine beverage they brew on site. Wish i could have had more time to talk to you Vaparadox, but i had to be back here in VA BCH at 8 AM to help get things kicked off on my Riding Clubs annual charity ride for St Judes. I have to admit, your bike is even blinding at night, i just thought mine was bright. I have been humbled by the master of chrome.

hey Dwhite, great to have gotten to meet you even if briefly. When you go back to Weeping Radish, try some of the Ratler beer.
I loved on it stationed in Deutschland. Im hoping the aireal photos will look decent. With all the telephone poles, vehicles, and people moving about, hopefully we wont be a line up of motorcycles surrounded by blurs and cables. Were you there when the guy tried to
ride his bike up onto his trailer and he and the bike fell off? Another example of 1. buy a real motorcycle trailor not spend 100.00 to make your own. 2. Ask for help when you're driving up a 30degree incline with no place to secure your feet. 3. You already tore up the right side of your bike getting it off the trailor at home, wise up . oh, sorry was that kinda mean? my bad

Master of chrome,,,,, hmm that has a nice ring to it......

I tell ya why do people go cheap like that. Here they spend all this Big money to buy the bike yet go cheap on trailers or the loading equipment. I find it funny when I see New riding folks buying a new bike and they just plunked down anywhere from $12,000 to $23,000 for bike and then I hear them say I dont want to spend to much cash on just a helmet? I'm like WTF!

Quick story: I had a friend last year in Sparks, NV go buy a 08 V2K ( Kawasaki) in Cal just acorss the boarder because he got a good price on it. So the dealer says yes we will deliver it right your front door, he says great. So when this guy shows up at his house and they open the back trailer here is his NEW 0 mile bike laying on it's side all scratched to hell and stuff bent up on one side. My buddy says who tied this bike down and they guys says the shop folks. Then my buddy says hey where is your wheel chock to place the bike in to keep it upright and the guy says we never have used any wheel chocks. He said your a bike dealer and you all cant afford a $250.00 condor or like type of wheel chock to prevent this kind of problems for your customers. He said take this bike back and bring me a new one to replace this junk bike now. They did repalce the bike and I'm sure they learned a hard lesson here. He made sure to write down the vin number so when the new bike showed it was indeed a new bike and not a repaired one. Again being cheap can cost you alot more than it's worth. SHEEEZ
